Presentiamo... dolce ragazza Carrie! Cerchi un nuovo migliore amico? Allora non guardare oltre Carrie! Carrie è appena arrivata da noi a Oakwood e con la sua dolce personalità e natura gentile, speriamo che non stia con noi troppo a lungo prima di trovare la sua casa per sempre. Siamo stati contattati riguardo Carrie perché era tenuta in un rifugio in Romania dove veniva presa in giro dagli altri cani. È una ragazza grande e quindi era con tanti altri cani grandi, ma questa dolce ragazza voleva solo uscire da quella gabbia e stare con i volontari che le avevano mostrato gentilezza. Ci è stato detto che i volontari avevano trascorso un paio d'ore con Carrie e quando era tempo di tornare nella gabbia, lei tremava e si aggrappava a loro, supplicando con gli occhi di non essere rimessa dentro. Ci è stato detto che non ce la faceva affatto e che era uno dei cani che loro prevedevano di dover notificare un giorno che era stata aggredita e non aveva sopravvissuto :( Non potevamo lasciare questa dolce anima lì più a lungo e abbiamo accettato di prenderla in cura. Carrie è molto amichevole con le persone e con i cani, ma può essere molto nervosa finché non ti conosce. Ha molta paura del mondo intorno a lei e non è ancora in grado di camminare con una collare e guinzaglio a causa della paura. Adora giocare con i cani, adora il suo cibo e sta iniziando a imitare gli altri cani e giocare con i giochi <3 Carrie è andata bene con ogni cane che abbiamo mescolato finora. Può essere molto cauta all'inizio, ma una volta che inizia a fidarsi, corre via nel campo a giocare a rincorrersi con loro. Purtroppo, a causa del suo tempo nel rifugio, Carrie protegge il cibo dagli altri cani e per questo motivo deve essere riadottata come cane unico. Carrie non è testata con i gatti, quindi non può essere riadottata con loro. Carrie è una ragazza giovane con tanta energia. Saprà prosperare in una casa che può darle tanta stimolazione fisica e mentale, poiché potrebbe non essere abbastanza coraggiosa per le passeggiate con guinzaglio nei primi mesi / settimane. È molto orientata alle persone e avrà bisogno di addestramento per costruire il tempo passato sola. All'inizio, dovrà essere lasciata il meno possibile. Nella sua gabbia piange molto, quindi è possibile che possa sviluppare ansia da separazione in casa. Carrie non è ancora addestrata al guinzaglio. Arriverà una volta che si sarà ambientata nella sua nuova casa e avrà creato un legame con la sua nuova famiglia. Carrie non ha alcun tipo di addestramento base. Tutto arriverà nel tempo una volta che si sarà ambientata e avrà imparato a fidarsi pienamente degli adottatori.

Introducing... sweet girl Carrie! Are you looking for a new best friend? Then look no further than Carrie! Carrie has recently arrived with us at Oakwood and with her sweet personality and kind nature, we are hoping she is not going to be with us too long before she finds her forever home. We were contacted about Carrie as she was being held in shelter in Romania where she was getting picked on by the other dogs. She is a large girl and so was in with lots of other large dogs, but this gentle girl wanted nothing more than to be out of that enclosure and to be with the volunteers that showed her kindness. We were told that the volunteers had spent a couple of hours with Carrie and when it was time to go back into the enclosure, she was shaking and holding on to them, pleading with her eyes, to not be put back. We were told that she was not coping at all and she is one of the dogs were they would expect to one day be notified that she had been attacked and didn't survive :( We couldn't let this gentle soul stay there any longer and agreed to accept her into our care. Carrie is very human and dog friendly but can be very nervous until she gets to know you. She is very scared of the world around her and is not yet ablet to walk on a collar and lead due to fear. She loves playing with dogs, loves her food, and is starting to copy the other dogs and play with toys <3 Carrie has been great with every dog that we have mixed her with so far. She can be very wary of them to start off with but once she starts to trust them, she is off running around the field playing chase with them. Unfortunately, due to her time in the shelter, Carrie will food guard from other dogs and so for this reason, must be rehomed as an only dog. Carrie is untested with cats therefore, she can not be rehomed with them Carrie is a young girl with lots of energy. She will thrive in a home that can give her lots of physical and mental stimulation as she may not be brave enough for lead walks for the first few weeks / months Carrie is very people oriented and will require training to build up her time alone. To begin with, she will need to be left as little as possible. In her kennel, she cries a lot so it's possible that she could develop separation anxiety in a home Carrie is not yet lead trained. This will come once she has settled into her new home and has built a bond with her new family Carrie has no form of basic training. This will all come in time once she has settled and learnt to fully trust her adopters
