Présentons... la douce fille Carrie ! Cherchez-vous un nouveau meilleur ami ? Alors ne cherchez plus loin que Carrie ! Carrie est récemment arrivée chez nous à Oakwood et avec sa personnalité douce et son naturel bienveillant, nous espérons qu'elle ne restera pas trop longtemps avant de trouver sa maison pour toujours. Nous avons été contactés concernant Carrie car elle était gardée dans un refuge en Roumanie où elle était harcelée par les autres chiens. Elle est une grande fille et était donc avec beaucoup d'autres grands chiens, mais cette douce fille voulait simplement sortir de cette cage et être avec les bénévoles qui lui avaient fait preuve de bienveillance. On nous a dit que les bénévoles avaient passé quelques heures avec Carrie et lorsqu'il était temps de retourner dans la cage, elle tremblait et s'accrochait à eux, suppliant avec ses yeux de ne pas être remise dedans. On nous a dit qu'elle ne supportait pas du tout l'environnement et qu'ils s'attendaient à ce qu'un jour on leur annonce qu'elle avait été attaquée et n'avait pas survécu :( Nous n'avions pas le cœur de laisser cette âme douce rester plus longtemps là-bas et nous sommes donc d'accord pour l'accepter dans notre garde. Carrie est très amicale avec les humains et les chiens, mais peut être très nerveuse jusqu'à ce qu'elle vous connaisse. Elle a très peur du monde autour d'elle et n'est pas encore capable de marcher avec un collier et une laisse à cause de sa peur. Elle aime jouer avec les chiens, aime sa nourriture et commence déjà à copier les autres chiens et à jouer avec des jouets <3 Carrie s'est très bien comportée avec chaque chien avec lequel nous l'avons mise pour l'instant. Elle peut être très méfiante au début, mais une fois qu'elle commence à avoir confiance, elle part courir dans le champ pour jouer à cache-cache avec eux. Malheureusement, en raison de son temps au refuge, Carrie garde la nourriture face aux autres chiens et, pour cette raison, doit être adoptée comme seul chien. Carrie n'a pas été testée avec les chats, donc elle ne peut pas être adoptée avec eux. Carrie est une jeune fille pleine d'énergie. Elle prospérera dans une maison qui lui offrira beaucoup d'activités physiques et mentales, car elle pourrait ne pas être assez courageuse pour les promenades en laisse pendant les premières semaines / mois. Carrie est très orientée vers les personnes et aura besoin d'entraînement pour augmenter son temps seul. Au début, elle devra être laissée le moins possible. Dans sa cage, elle crie beaucoup, donc il est possible qu'elle développe une anxiété séparative à la maison. Carrie n'est pas encore entraînée à la laisse. Cela viendra une fois qu'elle sera installée dans sa nouvelle maison et qu'elle aura établi un lien avec sa nouvelle famille. Carrie n'a pas de formation de base. Tout cela viendra avec le temps une fois qu'elle sera installée et qu'elle aura appris à pleinement faire confiance à ses adoptants.

Introducing... sweet girl Carrie! Are you looking for a new best friend? Then look no further than Carrie! Carrie has recently arrived with us at Oakwood and with her sweet personality and kind nature, we are hoping she is not going to be with us too long before she finds her forever home. We were contacted about Carrie as she was being held in shelter in Romania where she was getting picked on by the other dogs. She is a large girl and so was in with lots of other large dogs, but this gentle girl wanted nothing more than to be out of that enclosure and to be with the volunteers that showed her kindness. We were told that the volunteers had spent a couple of hours with Carrie and when it was time to go back into the enclosure, she was shaking and holding on to them, pleading with her eyes, to not be put back. We were told that she was not coping at all and she is one of the dogs were they would expect to one day be notified that she had been attacked and didn't survive :( We couldn't let this gentle soul stay there any longer and agreed to accept her into our care. Carrie is very human and dog friendly but can be very nervous until she gets to know you. She is very scared of the world around her and is not yet ablet to walk on a collar and lead due to fear. She loves playing with dogs, loves her food, and is starting to copy the other dogs and play with toys <3 Carrie has been great with every dog that we have mixed her with so far. She can be very wary of them to start off with but once she starts to trust them, she is off running around the field playing chase with them. Unfortunately, due to her time in the shelter, Carrie will food guard from other dogs and so for this reason, must be rehomed as an only dog. Carrie is untested with cats therefore, she can not be rehomed with them Carrie is a young girl with lots of energy. She will thrive in a home that can give her lots of physical and mental stimulation as she may not be brave enough for lead walks for the first few weeks / months Carrie is very people oriented and will require training to build up her time alone. To begin with, she will need to be left as little as possible. In her kennel, she cries a lot so it's possible that she could develop separation anxiety in a home Carrie is not yet lead trained. This will come once she has settled into her new home and has built a bond with her new family Carrie has no form of basic training. This will all come in time once she has settled and learnt to fully trust her adopters
