Charm lives up to her name in every possible way. She is a wonderful greyhound who is looking for her new home and has made every staff member here at Battersea Old Windsor fall in love with her. Charm is an affectionate dog who loves to lean in for fuss. She does have a worried side in new environments and meeting new people, she is looking for her new home to be in a quieter location where she can take her time and build confidence whilst she navigates her new world. Charm previously spent some time in a temporary foster home where she was an amazing house guest. She was fascinated by the TV at first but learnt to accept it and was good around other household noises. She walked nicely on the lead, slept downstairs overnight and her foster carer described her as very intelligent. She loves her food and can sometimes struggle to contain her excitement around meals and treats. She will need to work on her manners in her new home to improve her impulse control. Food has also been a great tool to make friends and build up positive experiences for Charm. She is polite and friendly towards other dogs; she is quite independent and prefers her own space. She has lots of walking buddies but enjoys settling on her own or with her favourite people. We feel it is best for Charm to be the only dog in the household due to this. She enjoys gentle walks, cosy beds, and playing with toys either on her own or with handlers. Indoors, she’s peaceful and polite; outdoors, she’s observant and thoughtful, taking the world in at her own pace. If you’re someone who loves cuddles, values a tender hearted companion, and can give Charm the steady support she needs, she will reward you with unwavering affection and a bond that feels truly special.
