Comportamento: Come cucciolo di bulldog, Chip passerà attraverso tutti i tipici comportamenti dei cuccioli di bulldog: scatti di gioco, curiosità goffa e molta burla. Come tutti i cuccioli di bulldog, avrà bisogno di confini e addestramento costanti fin da subito per aiutarla a crescere in un adulto ben educato e sicuro di sé. È anche importante capire che i cuccioli di bulldog passano attraverso la loro fase "terribile" dei bambini: diventano rumorosi, pieni di energia e molto "squalo bebè" con la masticazione e le piccole morsi. Questo è completamente normale, ma richiede pazienza, struttura e addestramento positivo. Le famiglie che considerano Chip devono essere pronte per questa fase e impegnate a guidarla attraverso essa con supporto calmo e costante. Bisogni: I cuccioli - specialmente quelli di bulldog - hanno bisogno di tempo, pazienza e coerenza per crescere in adulti felici e sicuri. Hanno bisogno di una nutrizione corretta fin dall'inizio, con cibo di alta qualità, adatto all'età, che supporti una crescita sana, uno sviluppo delle articolazioni e il benessere generale. Una buona alimentazione nei primi mesi stabilisce la base per tutta la loro vita. L'addestramento è altrettanto importante. I cuccioli non arrivano sapendo le regole di casa e l'addestramento al vasino non avviene mai in una notte. Gli incidenti sono normali e il progresso arriva con la routine, i complimenti e la guida dolce. Fin dal primo giorno, necessitano di confini chiari, struttura e addestramento positivo per aiutarli a capire cosa ci si aspetta da loro. Questi cuccioli saranno adottati solo da famiglie che già hanno un altro cane residente in casa. Il cane esistente deve essere castrato, poiché non adottiamo cuccioli in case con cani interi. È inoltre essenziale che il cane residente sia gentile, accettante dei nuovi arrivati e tollerante dei comportamenti tipici dei cuccioli, inclusa la giocosa goffaggine, la masticazione e la sperimentazione dei limiti. Dogs: Yes, Neutered dogs only. A BIT ABOUT ME Personality: Chip was the eighth born and final puppy in her litter, and she’s the sassy, super‑affectionate star of the group. She has the sweetest nature and absolutely loves being the centre of attention, soaking up every bit of fuss that comes her way. As her confidence grows, she’s exploring her world with bold little steps — all while maintaining her status as the undeniable diva of the litter. This charming, cheeky girl will melt your heart the moment she struts into your arms. Behaviour: As a young bulldog puppy, Chip will go through all the typical bulldog baby behaviours: bursts of playfulness, clumsy curiosity, and plenty of mischief. Like all bulldog pups, she’ll need consistent boundaries and training from day one to help her grow into a well‑mannered, confident adult. It’s also important to understand that bulldog puppies go through their own “terrible toddler” phase—where they become boisterous, full of beans, and very “baby‑shark” with their mouthing and nibbles. This is completely normal, but it does require patience, structure, and positive training. Families considering Chip must be prepared for this stage and committed to guiding her through it with calm, consistent support. Chip is a beautiful little soul who will thrive with a family ready to love her, teach her, and enjoy every silly, snuggly, joyful moment of puppyhood. Needs: Puppies—especially bulldog puppies—need time, patience, and consistency to grow into happy, confident adults. They require correct nutrition from the very beginning, with high‑quality, age‑appropriate food that supports healthy growth, joint development, and overall wellbeing. Good nutrition in these early months sets the foundation for their entire life. Training is just as important. Puppies don’t arrive knowing the rules of a home, and toilet training never happens overnight. Accidents are normal, and progress comes with routine, praise, and gentle guidance. From day one, they need clear boundaries, structure, and positive training to help them understand what’s expected of them. These puppies will only be rehomed to families who already have another resident dog in the home. The existing dog must be neutered, as we do not rehome puppies to homes with entire dogs. It’s also essential that the resident dog is friendly, accepting of newcomers, and tolerant of typical puppy behaviours, including clumsy play, chewing, and boundary‑testing. A secure garden is an absolute must. Puppies need safe outdoor space to explore, toilet, play, and burn off their bursts of energy. It also supports their toilet‑training routine and helps them learn about the world in a safe, controlled environment. A home with calm, gentle children is ideal, as puppies can become overwhelmed by loud or unpredictable environments. They need a family who will teach them kindly, handle them appropriately, and help them feel safe as they learn and grow. Finally, it’s important that routines are started straight away—feeding times, toilet breaks, naps, training sessions, and bedtime. Consistency helps puppies feel secure and accelerates their learning. With the right guidance, love, and structure, a bulldog puppy will grow into a confident, affectionate, and wonderfully loyal companion. Walk/exercise: Puppies have lots of little bursts of energy, but they also tire quickly and need plenty of rest. At this age, exercise should be gentle, short, and always appropriate for growing joints. Most of their “exercise” comes from free play, exploring their environment, and interacting with their family. Leash training can begin as soon as your puppy comes home. Early, positive exposure to a harness and lead helps them learn calmly and confidently. These first sessions should be short, fun, and pressure‑free—just getting used to the feel of the lead and learning to walk beside you. However, puppies must not go out in public places until after their second vaccinations and once your vet confirms they are safe to do so. Until then, all outdoor time should be in a secure private garden or carried in your arms when out and about. This protects them from diseases their immune system isn’t ready to handle yet. Even without public walks, puppies can learn so much at home—basic training, confidence building, exploring new textures and sounds, and practising calm lead walking in the garden or indoors. With gentle guidance, safe spaces, and age‑appropriate activity, a bulldog puppy will grow into a confident, happy little explorer. Travel: We recommend using a seatbelt restraint or travel crate whenever transporting dogs. **TRANSPORTING DURING WARMER WEATHER IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE CAR AS COOL AS POSSIBLE** Things to be aware of: Chip will be rehomed on a “to be spayed” contract, and she will be recalled in October 2027 to ensure this is completed in line with our welfare policies. All puppies from this litter will only be placed with families who have proven bulldog breed experience. Their adopters will be fully responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their second vaccinations, as well as the ongoing health and welfare of the puppy throughout their life. Puppies will not be rehomed to homes with same‑sex dogs or with any entire (unneutered) dogs. The resident dog must be neutered, friendly, and genuinely accepting of new dogs in the home, with the patience to tolerate normal puppy behaviours such as clumsy play, mouthing, and boundary‑testing. These requirements are in place to ensure every puppy has the safest, happiest start and the very best chance of thriving in their forever home. Children must understand that bulldogs need time to settle in and have space to rest peacefully and uninterrupted. Additional information from Chip’s foster family: Being part of Lula’s journey and watching her raise her puppies has been one of the greatest joys of our lives. She has been the most devoted, gentle, and instinctively wonderful mother—every single day she made us proud. Watching Chip grow from a tiny newborn into the confident, cheeky, and irresistibly affectionate little personality she is now has been such a highlight for our family. She’s filled our days with laughter, sass, and so many tender moments. Chip’s adoption donation fee is £1000 and will need to be paid in full prior to her going home which will also be subject to a home check. **Every dog rehomed by GBSR receives Rescue Back-up for their whole Life. And the admin team are available for advice and support for the whole of that dog’s lifetime via Messenger, therefore the successful applicant will need to have an active Facebook and Messenger account for the life of the dog.
