Cuca vive attualmente in un ambiente di accoglienza in Spagna per aiutarla a gestire il suo peso - dopo molti anni trascorsi in gabbie in attesa di una casa per sempre, il cibo è diventato una fonte di comfort per lei. Ha bisogno della sua casa per sempre per poter finalmente stabilirsi con esercizio regolare e stimolazione. Cuca è una ragazza felice, socievole e affettuosa sia con le persone che con altri cani - ha persino fatto amicizia con il gatto della sua famiglia di accoglienza, come si può vedere dalle sue foto. È giocosa con altri cani e con i giochi, e molto diversa dal carattere tipico dei podencos - ama nuotare in mare. Cammina bene al guinzaglio e può gestire sia stili di vita urbani che rurali. Adora stare in casa e si è adattata bene dai recinti, un giardino non è indispensabile per lei purché abbia spazi verdi locali da esplorare. Viaggia bene e non è preoccupata dai luoghi nuovi. Come si può vedere dalle sue foto, Cuca porta un peso in eccesso, pur non avendo problemi di salute è attualmente in un programma di gestione del peso per aiutarla a perdere i chili in eccesso e questo dovrà continuare nella sua casa di accoglienza o nella casa per sempre. Cuca is currently living in foster in the UK to help with her weight management - after many years living in kennels waiting for a forever home, food has become a source of comfort for her. She needs her forever home so she can finally settle with regular exercise and stimulation. Cuca is a happy, sociable and affectionate girl with both humans and other dogs - she has even made friends with the cat in her foster home as you can see from her pictures. She is playful with other dogs and toys, and most out of character for podencos - loves a swim in the sea. She walks well on the lead and can manage both city and rural lifestyles. She loves being in a home and has adapted well form kenells, a garden is not a must for her as long as she has green spaces locally to explore. She travels well and is not worried by new places. As you can see form her pictures Cuca is carrying extra weight, whilst she has no health concerns she is currently on a weight management programme to help her loose the extra pounds and this would need to continue in her forever home. Cuca will be neutered, is vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases. She is passported and available for adoption now.
