I was born in 2021 and was first bred at six months, shockingly early. In the meat industry, the animals are exploited incredibly brutally. But I was not pregnant, not even after the second breeding, and then I was sorted out for slaughter. On May 14, 2022, I escaped the slaughterhouse along with the other sow-mothers Sola, Hope, and Agnes. We had the great fortune to be given a home at Schutzengel für Tiere. So I have the chance to hopefully have a long life as a foster sow because, unlike other sows, my body is not drained by giving birth to often hundreds of piglets. All breeding sows are regularly injected with a hormone so that they all become fertile at the same time. This way, they can all be bred at the same time. The hormone (PMSG = Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotropin) is obtained from the blood of pregnant mare stags, which also suffer significantly for the production of this hormone. Ich wurde 2021 geboren und mit sechs Monaten zum ersten Mal besamt, pervers früh. In der Fleischindustrie werden die Tiere unglaublich brutal ausgebeutet. Ich wurde aber nicht trächtig, auch beim zweiten Besamungsakt nicht, und dann für die Schlachtung aussortiert. Am 14.Mai 2022 entging ich zusammen mit den anderen Schweinemamas Sola, Hope und Agnes dem Schlachthof. Wir hatten das Riesenglück, einen Lebensplatz bei Schutzengel für Tiere zu bekommen. So habe ich das Glück, noch ein hoffentlich langes Leben als Patenschwein vor mir zu haben, weil mein Körper nicht, wie bei anderen Sauen, durch die Geburt von oft mehreren Hundert Ferkeln ausgelaugt ist. Alle Zuchtsauen bekommen regelmäßig ein Hormon gespritzt, damit sie alle gleichzeitig rauschig werden. So kann man sie alle gleichzeitig besamen. Das Hormon (PMSG=Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotropin) wird gewonnen aus dem Blut trächtiger Pferdestuten, die für die Erzeugung dieses Hormons ebenfalls erheblich leiden müssen. Pferdefreunde sollten deshalb zumindest auch kein Schweinefleisch essen, am besten für alle Tiere und den Klimaschutz ist es natürlich, sich VEGAN zu ernähren. Möchtest Du meine Patin/mein Pate sein?
