Conosci Hugo - un bulldog francese di 3 anni con opinioni forti, ottime capacità di camminata e un circolo ristrettissimo di amicizie esclusive. Hugo è arrivato da noi come randagio dopo essere stato portato in un veterinario fuori orario, con una storia che non aveva assolutamente senso. Sospettiamo che Hugo sia stato abbandonato, il che dice molto di più sui umani coinvolti che mai possa dire su di lui. Tuttavia, Hugo ha deciso di non soffermarsi sul passato. È troppo occupato a pianificare il suo futuro. Hugo, all'inizio, è un piccolo uomo scettico. Non dà fiducia facilmente, e onestamente lo rispettiamo. Ma una volta che hai guadagnato il tuo posto nel suo cerchio interno, scoprirai un compagno lealissimo e profondamente amorevole che ti sceglierà ogni singolo giorno. Ha già formato alcuni amici scelti qui, e guardarlo legarsi alle "sue persone" è qualcosa di veramente speciale. Sta anche imparando che gli umani possono essere gentili, costanti e valere la pena, specialmente quelli che portano del formaggio. Durante le passeggiate, Hugo si trasforma in un esploratore determinato. Esce come se avesse importanti faccende da sbrigare e tu sei semplicemente il suo assistente. Gode delle sue avventure e ti porterà volentieri in lunghe, significative passeggiatine. Di tanto in tanto mette in dubbio le tue scelte di navigazione (specialmente se coinvolge un ritorno), ma con dolce incoraggiamento e negoziazioni basate sul formaggio, lui collabora perfettamente. Cerca una casa per una sola persona adulta donna. Hugo non vuole caos, rumore o bambini imprevedibili - cerca adulti calmi e comprensivi che gli daranno il tempo e il rispetto che merita. Si lega profondamente e non ama essere lasciato indietro, quindi una casa dove qualcuno è presente la maggior parte del tempo sarebbe perfetta per lui. Sarebbe un ottimo collega per chi lavora da casa, offrendo supporto emotivo, supervisione e giudizi occasionali. Hugo non è per tutti - ed è esattamente ciò che lo rende speciale. Meet Hugo — a 3-year-old French Bulldog with strong opinions, excellent walking skills, and a very exclusive friendship circle. Hugo arrived with us as a stray after being handed into an out-of-hours vets, with a story that made absolutely no sense whatsoever. We suspect Hugo was dumped, which frankly says far more about the humans involved than it ever will about him. Hugo, however, has decided he’s not dwelling on the past. He’s far too busy planning his future. Hugo is, at first, a sceptical little man. He doesn’t hand out trust freely, and honestly, we respect that. But once you earn your place in his inner circle, you’ll discover a fiercely loyal, deeply loving companion who will choose you every single day. He has already made a few chosen friends here, and watching him bond with “his people” is something really special. He’s also learning that humans can be kind, consistent, and worth the effort — especially the ones carrying cheese. On walks, Hugo transforms into a determined explorer. He heads out like he has important business to attend to, and you are simply his assistant. He enjoys his adventures and will happily take you on long, purposeful strolls. Occasionally, he questions your navigational choices (particularly if it involves turning back), but with gentle encouragement and the correct cheese-based negotiations, he cooperates beautifully. He is looking for an adult-only one person female home. Hugo doesn’t want chaos, noise, or small unpredictable humans — he wants calm, understanding adults who will give him the time and respect he deserves. He bonds deeply and doesn’t enjoy being left behind, so a home where someone is around most of the time would suit him perfectly. He would make an excellent work-from-home colleague, offering emotional support, supervision, and occasional judgement. Hugo isn’t for everyone — and that’s exactly what makes him special. He’s for someone patient, kind, and understanding. Someone who will let him be himself. Someone who will earn his trust and treasure it. Because once Hugo chooses you, you’ll have one of the most loyal little shadows you could ever hope to find. Once settled training classes for confidence building will do him the world of good. Hugo will also sing sweet songs if his favourite people go out of sight when out a walk. He’s calling you back to his circle.
