Joey è un bellissimo gatto a pelo lungo, metà persiano, trovato nell'area Plaza Antonio Banderas di Puerto Banús; non ha un microchip e non è castrato. È un gatto molto timido. La sua prima reazione quando qualcuno si avvicina è solitamente nascondersi o andare in un posto dove si sente al sicuro. Quando tutto è tranquillo, esce lentamente dal suo nascondiglio e si sistema nel suo piccolo letto, osservando tutto da lì. Si intende bene con altri gatti e vive accanto a loro senza problemi, il che mostra che si sente al sicuro in compagnia di altri gatti. Anche se è ancora molto spaventato, ci sono piccoli passi in avanti che ci fanno sorridere: se hai delle leccornie, Joey si avvicinerà e le prenderà direttamente dalla tua mano... anche se poi correrà velocemente indietro per ripararsi. Joey ha bisogno di una famiglia con esperienza con gatti timidi o non socializzati, che capiscano il suo processo e siano disposti a dargli tempo, pazienza e un ambiente calmo in cui possa imparare a fidarsi. Joey is a beautiful long-haired cat, a Persian mix, found in the Plaza Antonio Banderas area of Puerto Banús; he has no microchip and has not been neutered. He is a very timid cat. His first reaction when someone approaches is usually to hide or go somewhere else where he feels safe. When everything is quiet, he slowly emerges from his hiding place and settles into his little bed, observing everything from there. He gets on well with other cats and lives alongside them without any problems, which shows that he feels safe in the company of other cats. Although he is still very fearful, there are small steps forward that make us smile: if you have treats, Joey will come over and take them straight from your hand… even if he then quickly runs back to take refuge. Joey needs a family with experience of shy or unsocialised cats, who understand his process and are willing to give him time, patience and a calm environment where he can learn to trust.
