Lennox ci è arrivato attraverso un canile per animali abbandonati e non era identificato con un microchip, quindi non abbiamo informazioni sul suo passato prima dell'arrivo in canile. Si crede che sia stato un cane da lavoro, quindi assumiamo che NON sia amico dei gatti o di altri piccoli animali pelosi (vedi foto qui sotto quando lo si vede accanto al gatto del vicino!) inoltre, poiché non sappiamo come si comporta con i bambini, dobbiamo dire che non dovrebbero esserci bambini piccoli intorno a lui. Ha circa 25-26 pollici di altezza e pensiamo che abbia circa 4 anni. È stato vaccinato, identificato e castrato e ha ricevuto trattamenti per pulci e vermi - aveva dei vermi tondi, quindi questo deve essere ripetuto regolarmente. Ho notato mentre aspettavo dal veterinario che è molto ansioso intorno agli uomini sconosciuti e se fosse stato possibile sarebbe scappato. Stava cercando di salire sulle mie gambe e di mettersi sotto la mia sedia per evitare l'uomo - che comunque non gli prestava attenzione. Nei nostri recinti, ha convivuto con alcune cagne stabili e va generalmente bene con loro, ma ci sono state alcune che erano troppo dominanti e lui non le sopportava. Può essere un po' "in faccia" con alcuni degli altri cani che passano nel corridoio davanti al suo recinto. Quindi ha certamente bisogno di addestramento e socializzazione. È uno dei preferiti dai compagni di passeggiata perché è molto facile da guidare con il guinzaglio, ma a volte si spaventa - uomini sconosciuti, rumori forti ecc... ma l'esposizione a queste situazioni lo sta aiutando. Non sappiamo come si comporta in casa - se mai ci è stato, quindi dovrà essere trattato come un cucciolo per quanto riguarda l'addestramento alla pipì in casa. Lennox has come to us via a stray pound and wasn't microchipped, so we don't have any info about his life pre- kennels. It is believed he is an ex-worker, so will assume he is NOT cat / small furry friendly (see photo below when he's spotted next door's cat!) plus as we don't know what he's like with children, we'll have to say no young kids around him. He's about 25-26 ins tts and we think he's about 4 yrs old now. He's been vaccinated, been chipped and neutered and has been treated for fleas and worms - he had tapeworms, so that needs to be redone regularly. I noticed whilst in the waiting room at the vets that he seems very anxious around strange men and would have run off if he'd been able. He was trying to climb onto my lap and get under my chair to avoid the man - who was completely ignoring him anyway. In our kennels, he's been room mates with a couple steady bitches and is mostly OK with her but there were a couple of pushy ones he really didn't like . He can be a bit "in yer face" with some of the other dogs walking in the corridor past his kennel run. So he definitely needs some training and socialising. He's one of the dog walkers' favourites to take out as he's very easy on a lead but can get scared at times - strange men/ loud noises etc...but being exposed to them is helping him. We don't know what he's like in a house - IF he's ever been in one, so would need treating as a puppy with regards to housetraining.
