Una donna anziana in attesa di provare finalmente la sicurezza. Maeb è una dolce donna anziana con un passato difficile, ma tanta ancora amore da dare. È arrivata da noi da un recupero privato in Germania, gestito da un veterinario dedicato che ha salvato molti cani durante la sua vita. Purtroppo, dopo la morte del veterinario, la sua famiglia ha lavorato instancabilmente per trovare case sicure e definitive per tutti i cani in tutta Europa. Tre di quei cani sono arrivati da noi - due sono stati adottati, lasciando Maeb ancora in attesa. Tra i tre, Maeb era quella che aveva bisogno più di una casa. È una ragazza nervosa e timida, probabilmente influenzata dal suo passato problematico. L'ambiente vivace e ad alto ritmo del rifugio la sovrasta e, visto che i suoi compagni ora si sono trasferiti nelle loro case, lei ha avuto ulteriori difficoltà con lo stress e l'ansia. A causa di come si spaventa facilmente e potrebbe cercare di scappare e a causa della nostra vicinanza all'autostrada, purtroppo Maeb non può vivere liberamente come alcuni dei nostri altri cani. Per la sua sicurezza, trascorre gran parte del tempo in uno spazio sicuro - qualcosa che vorremmo cambiare per lei il prima possibile. Fortunatamente, presto viaggerà verso un ambiente di accoglienza che prenderà cura di lei fino a quando non troveremo la sua casa definitiva! Maeb prospererebbe in una casa calma e tranquilla dove la vita scorre dolcemente. È buona con gli altri cani calmi e anziani o con qualsiasi cane che rispetti il suo spazio. Con l'età, ha sviluppato lievi problemi udittivi e visivi, quindi ha bisogno di un ambiente paziente e comprensivo. A circa 10 anni, Maeb non cerca molto, solo giorni tranquilli, passeggiate dolci e un posto sicuro in cui rilassarsi finalmente. È un cane bellissimo, con un occhio blu intenso e un cuore che merita di provare nuovamente la sicurezza.

And older lady waiting to finally feel safe. Maeb is a sweet older lady with a difficult past, but so much love still to give. She came to us from a private rescue in Germany, run by a dedicated vet who saved many dogs throughout her life. Sadly, after the vet passed away, her family worked tirelessly to find safe, forever homes for all the dogs across Europe. Three of those dogs came to us – two have since been rehomed, leaving Maeb still waiting .Out of the three, Maeb was the one who needed a home the most. She is a nervous and timid girl, likely shaped by a troubled past. The busy, high-energy environment of the rescue is overwhelming for her and since her companions have now moved on to their own homes, she has been left struggling even more with stress and anxiety. Because of how easily she becomes frightened and may try to run and due to our proximity to the autopista, Maeb unfortunately cannot live freely like some of our other dogs. For her safety, she currently spends much of her time in a secure space – something we would love to change for her as soon as possible. Thankfully, she will soon be travelling to a foster home that will take care of her until we find her forever home! Maeb would thrive in a calm, quiet home where life moves gently. She is good with other calm, older dogs or any dog that respects her space. With age, she has developed slight hearing and vision impairments, so she needs a patient and understanding environment. At around 10 years old, Maeb isn’t looking for much, just peaceful days, gentle walks and a safe place to finally relax. She is a beautiful dog, with one striking piercing blue eye, and a heart that deserves to feel safe again.
