Malibu è una ragazza molto intelligente, che sa tanti trucchi e comandi, quindi cercherà adottatori in grado di mantenerla allenata e stimolata mentalmente. Come un tipico Collie, è ossessionata dalla sua palla e può mostrare alcuni comportamenti di guida, quindi avrà bisogno di essere l'unica animale domestico in casa e tenuta al guinzaglio sempre intorno agli animali da allevamento. Malibu può trovare cani vivaci preoccupanti, quindi preferirebbe essere amica solo di cani più calmi. Una volta che ha bruciato tutta la sua energia correndo e facendo attività di arricchimento mentale è contenta di fare un bel abbraccio sul divano e si adatta bene. Può essere preoccupata dalle persone all'inizio, quindi avrà bisogno di adottatori pazienti disposti a lasciarla avvicinarsi a loro a suo ritmo. Preferirebbe che tutti i bambini in casa abbiano almeno 14 anni, ma questo potrebbe essere ridotto se i bambini della casa sono sicuri intorno ai cani attivi e hanno già vissuto con Collie prima. Malibu is a very smart girl, who knows lots of tricks and commands, so would love adopters who can keep up her training and mental stimulation. Like a typical Collie, she is obsessed with her ball and can exhibit some herding behaviours, so will need to be the only pet in the home and be kept on a lead at all times around livestock. Malibu can find boisterous dogs quite worrying, so would prefer to only be friends with calmer dogs. Once she has burnt off all her energy running around and doing mental enrichment she is happy to have a nice snuggle on the sofa and settles well. She is truly such a brilliant girl and we can't wait for her to start her new life. Could you be the perfect home that Malibu is looking for? Meet Malibu, our wonderful 4 year old Collie! Malibu is a classic Collie with bundles of energy and a brain that never stops. She is looking for an active, experienced Collie family or working household who can take her on plenty of adventures and engage in enrichment until her heart is content. She can be worried of people initially so will need patient adopters who are willing to let her come to them at her own pace. She would prefer all children in the home to be 14yrs+ but this could be lowered if the children in the household are confident around active dogs and have been around Collies before. Malibu is a sweet gentle girl, who is not yet used to being left in the home, so her new family will need to be around most of the time and willing to build up her leaving hours slowly.
