Il nostro dolce Oakley è tornata da noi dopo che la sua adozione non ha funzionato come previsto. È una vera bellezza, con un pelo bianco biondo morbido al tatto, ideale per coccole. Le sue graziose orecchie cadenti e gli occhi grandi e espressivi le danno un aspetto straordinario rispetto agli altri cani nei nostri recinti. Era con loro da quasi un anno, ma la sua ansia si è rivelata difficile da gestire. La vita familiare affollata non era adatta a lei, quindi è tornata da noi. Speriamo di trovare una casa che apprezzi il suo lento ritmo e possa offrirle un ambiente tranquillo dove possa non solo uscire dalla sua conchiglia ma anche crescere. Si intende bene con altri cani, quindi una casa con un compagno canino sicuro potrebbe aiutarla fornendole guida. Le piace giocare nel nostro campo sicuro ed è affezionata ai suoi giochi. Il suo umore umoristico e giocoso ci fa sempre ridere. Oakley manca di fiducia e spesso ha difficoltà ad adattarsi agli ambienti esterni sconosciuti. Un accompagnatore con esperienza nel gestire cani timidi e ansiosi sarebbe perfetto per lei. La sua ansia si manifesta principalmente con abbaiare e atteggiamenti minacciosi, il suo modo di allontanare i percepiti rischi. Siamo attivamente impegnati in un programma di addestramento progettato per rafforzare la sua fiducia e migliorare le sue reazioni a vari stimoli. Oakley sta facendo ottimi progressi; tuttavia, è cruciale che il futuro adoptante sia impegnato a mantenere questa positiva direzione. Vorremmo riportarla in un'area locale per poter continuare a supportare i suoi adottatori. Una volta che Oakley ha costruito la fiducia, diventa un compagno tenero e divertente, pieno di affetto e vivacità. Le piace visitare il nostro ufficio, occupando rapidamente il divano e interagendo con il suo gioco. Tuttavia, i suoi dolci occhi da cucciolo significano che non starà sola sul divano per molto tempo! L'ambiente ideale per Oakley sarebbe una casa senza gatti o bambini piccoli. Potrebbe essere adatta a convivere con adolescenti più grandi, ma non si sente a suo agio con estranei nel suo spazio. Our beloved Oakley has returned to us after her adoption did not go as planned. She is an absolute stunner, boasting white blonde fur that's soft to the touch, ideal for snuggles. Her charming floppy ears and large, expressive puppy eyes make her a standout beauty among the dogs in our kennels. She had been with them for nearly a year, yet her nervousness proved challenging for them to handle. The bustling family life was not a good fit for her, so she has returned to us. We are hopeful to find her a home that values her gentle pace and can offer a tranquil setting where she can not only emerge from her shell but also thrive. She gets along well with other dogs, so a home with a confident canine companion could benefit her by providing guidance. She enjoys playing in our secure field and is fond of her toys. Oakley's humorous and playful nature never fails to make us laugh. Oakley lacks confidence and often finds it challenging to cope with unfamiliar outdoor environments. A handler with experience in dealing with shy, nervous dogs would be ideal for her. Her anxiety typically presents as barking and posturing to appear intimidating, which is her way of deterring perceived threats. We are actively engaged in a training regimen designed to bolster her confidence and improve her reactions to various stimuli. Oakley is making excellent progress; however, it is crucial that her future adopter is committed to sustaining this positive trajectory. We would like to rehome her locally so that we can continue to provide support to her adopters. Once Oakley has built trust, she becomes a cuddly and humorous companion, full of affection and playfulness. She enjoys visiting our office, quickly making the sofa her own and engaging with her toy. However, her endearing puppy eyes usually mean she won't be by herself on the sofa for too long! The ideal environment for Oakley would be a home without cats or young children. She may be suitable to live with older teenagers, but she is not comfortable with strangers in her space. Crate training plays a significant role in helping Oakley adjust to new surroundings, providing her with a personal area where she can retreat when she wants solitude is key to her comfort.
