Stiamo tutti aspettando con ansia che Petros abbia un nuovo manto. A questo punto, possiamo solo immaginare com'è destinato a sembrare una volta che il suo aspetto sarà completamente ripristinato, perché la sua salute è ormai perfetta. L'unica cosa che possiamo garantire è che Petros diventerà un cane veramente impressionante. Un vero e proprio bell'individuo adulto. Petros è arrivato al nostro rifugio ad Oropos in uno stato molto precario. Un giovane, gentile, potenziale gigante con un cuore d'oro, che era stato abbandonato legato nel terribile canile comunale di Krestena. Lo abbiamo nutrito, curato e i suoi occhi hanno riacquistato l'incandescenza. Presto anche il suo manto splenderà, la coda si riempirà e le sue zampe non sembreranno più sproporzionate rispetto al resto del corpo. Petros non è un cane difficile. Al contrario, è collaborativo, allegro e di buon umore. Durante le passeggiate, inizia con tanta eccitazione e gradualmente si calma, rimanendo al tuo fianco. Se ti fermi a salutare e chiacchierare con qualcuno che incontri lungo il percorso, Petros aspetterà pazientemente. Potrebbe persino sdraiarsi per un po', per evitare di sprecare energia inutilmente. Petros è un grande carattere. Quando il suo manto marrone cioccolato e bianco con macchie nere sarà completo e la sua criniera crescerà, forse non lo riconosceremo neppure. Forse solo la dolcezza nei suoi occhi lo tradirà. Chi adotterà Petros potrà essere certo che tante teste si gireranno per ammirarlo mentre camminano insieme.

We’re all eagerly waiting for Petros’ new coat to grow. At this point, we can only guess what he’ll look like once his appearance is fully restored, because his health is now perfectly fine. The only thing we can guarantee is that Petros will turn into a truly impressive dog. A proper, full-grown stunner. Petros arrived at our shelter in Oropos in a very rough state. A young, kind-hearted, would-be giant with a heart of gold, who had been wasting away tied up in the dreadful municipal kennel of Krestena. We fed him, cared for him, and his eyes lit up again. Soon enough, his coat will shine too, his tail will fill out, and his paws will stop looking out of proportion with the rest of his body. Petros is not a difficult dog. On the contrary, he’s cooperative, cheerful, and good-natured. On walks, he starts off full of excitement and gradually settles, coming right by your side. If you stop to say hello and chat a bit with someone you meet along the way, Petros will patiently wait. He might even lie down for a bit, just to avoid wasting unnecessary energy. Petros is a great character. Once his chocolate brown and white coat with black spots fully comes through, and his mane grows longer, we might not even recognize him. Maybe only the sweetness in his eyes will give him away. Whoever adopts Petros can be sure that plenty of heads will turn to admire him as they walk together.
