La dolcissima Piri-Piri è arrivata da noi con il suo piccolo amico Rayo, senza microchips e per alcune settimane nessuno è venuto a cercarli. Dopo che le loro foto sono state pubblicate per l'adozione, i loro umani sono venuti al rifugio per prenderli e portarli in campagna, ma a quel punto Rayo aveva già una operazione al ginocchio per correggere i risultati di un'operazione precedente e la fattura doveva essere almeno parzialmente pagata. Nello stesso momento, gli umani sono stati informati che Piri-Piri aveva solo bisogno di essere sterilizzata come previsto dalla legge per i cani che lasciano il rifugio, ma poiché i proprietari volevano farle avere cuccioli, non volevano più i cani una volta che Piri-Piri era stata sterilizzata, e ora entrambi cercano nuovi homes individuali. Piri-Piri è molto amante delle persone, adora gli volontari e ama tutta l'attenzione. Verrà a sedersi sulle tue gambe, appoggerà il naso sotto il tuo ascella e farà una danza felice con la sua coda a elicottero. Piri cammina molto bene al guinzaglio e ama andare in escursione con tutti i suoi umani e anche i suoi amici canini. Intorno al rifugio tira un po' sul guinzaglio a causa della mancanza di esercizio fisico e dello stress. Viene dal paese ed è abituata a correre liberamente, ora è in una gabbia con spazio limitato. Piri-Piri cerca una famiglia che sia contenta di un cane che cerca contatto fisico e dove nessun membro della famiglia abbia paura di un cane che a volte salta su di te o ti si avvicina intensamente per l'attenzione e i coccoloni. Ha una presenza dolce e gentile, un carattere da bambino, che fa sentire i tuoi istinti parentali, desiderando prenderti cura di lei e tenerla al sicuro. Nel rifugio Piri vive con un gruppo e è molto socievole con gli altri cani. Allo stesso tempo, la vita in una gabbia, con tutto lo stress intorno, a volte la rende un po' autoritaria con alcuni dei suoi amici in gabbia, ovviamente dobbiamo tenere presente che ci sono 4-5 cani nello stesso spazio, senza luogo dove andare se uno di loro vuole spazio e tranquillità... Piri potrebbe benissimo unirsi a una casa con un altro cane amichevole e socievole, o potrebbe anche essere un cane unico, poiché è molto orientata alle persone. In questo caso, dovrebbe essere fornita una socializzazione regolare con altri cani, in modo che rimanga una ragazza amichevole ben socializzata. Anche se Piri è dolce con tutti gli umani che incontra, per la sua casa definitiva, nel caso di bambini, devono avere più di 10 anni a causa della sua entusiasmo per il contatto fisico. L'altezza alla spalla è circa 48 cm.

Sweetest Piri-Piri arrived to us with her small friend Rayo, without microchips and for a few weeks noone came looking for them. Once their picture was published for adoptions, their humans came to the shelter to take them back to the campo, but by that time, Rayo already had a knee operation to correct a previous operations results, and the invoice had to be at least partially covered. At the same time, the humans were informed, that Piri-Piri just needed to be sterilised as per law of dogs leaving the shelter, but as the owners wanted to produce puppies with her, then they did not want the dogs back anymore once she had been sterilised, and now both are looking for their individual new homes. Piri-Piri is very human-loving, she adores the volunteers and loves all attention. She will come to your lap, snuggle her nose in your armpit and do a happy dance with her helicopter tail. Piri walks very well on the leash and loves to go hiking with all her humans, and also her canine friends. Around the shelter she is pulling a bit on the leash due to lack of exercise, and because of the stress. She is coming from the countryside and is used to running around freely, now she is locked in a limited space kennel. Piri-Piri is looking for a family, who is happy about a dog looking for physical connection, and where no members of the family are scared of a dog occasionally jumping up on you, or intensely approaching you for attention and cuddles. She has such a sweet, kind presence, a child-like character, that makes you feel your parental instincts, wanting to take care of her and keep her safe. In the shelter Piri lives together with a group and she is very social with other dogs. At the same time, life in a kennel, with all the stress around, sometimes makes her a bit bossy with some of her kennel friends, of course we need to take into account that they are 4-5 dogs in one space, with nowhere to go if one of them wants space and quiet.... Piri could very well join a household with another friendly, social dog, or she could also be an only dog, as she is very human-oriented. In this case, regular canine socialisation should be provided to her, so she remains a well socialised friendly girl. Even though Piri is lovely with all humans she meets, then for her forever home, in case of children, they should be above 10 years old, due to her enthusiasm for physical contact. Her shoulder height is approximately 48cm.
