La más dulce Piri-Piri llegó a nosotros con su pequeño amigo Rayo, sin microchips y durante unas semanas nadie buscó a los dos. Una vez que se publicaron sus fotos para adopción, sus dueños vinieron al refugio para llevárselos de vuelta al campo, pero en ese momento a Rayo ya le había realizado una operación de rodilla para corregir los resultados de una operación anterior y la factura tenía que cubrirse al menos parcialmente. Al mismo tiempo, los dueños fueron informados de que Piri-Piri solo necesitaba ser esterilizada según la ley de perros que salen del refugio, pero como los dueños querían criar cachorros con ella, no querían recuperar a los perros una vez que hubiera sido esterilizada, y ahora ambos buscan sus propios nuevos hogares. Piri-Piri es muy cariñosa con las personas, ama a los voluntarios y le encanta recibir atención. Vendrá a tu regazo, meterá su nariz en tu axila y hará una danza feliz con su cola de helicóptero. Piri camina muy bien en la correa y ama ir de senderismo con todos sus humanos, así como también con sus amigos caninos. En el refugio tira un poco de la correa debido a la falta de ejercicio y al estrés. Proviene del campo y está acostumbrada a correr libremente, ahora está encerrada en una jaula con espacio limitado. Piri-Piri busca una familia que esté contenta con un perro que busque conexión física, y donde ningún miembro de la familia tenga miedo de que un perro salte ocasionalmente sobre ti o se acerque intensamente para recibir atención y cariño. Tiene una presencia tan dulce y amable, un carácter infantil, que hace que sientas tus instintos parentales, queriendo cuidarla y protegerla. En el refugio vive en grupo y es muy social con otros perros. Al mismo tiempo, la vida en una jaula, con todo el estrés que hay alrededor, a veces la hace un poco dominante con algunos de sus compañeros de jaula, por supuesto tenemos que tener en cuenta que hay 4-5 perros en un espacio, sin lugar a donde ir si uno quiere espacio y tranquilidad… Piri podría unirse fácilmente a un hogar con otro perro amable y social, o también podría ser un perro único, ya que es muy orientada a las personas. En este caso, debe proporcionársele socialización canina regular para que se mantenga como una chica amable y bien socializada. Aunque Piri es encantadora con todas las personas que conoce, para su hogar definitivo, en caso de niños, deben tener más de 10 años debido a su entusiasmo por el contacto físico. Su altura en el hombro es aproximadamente de 48 cm.

Sweetest Piri-Piri arrived to us with her small friend Rayo, without microchips and for a few weeks noone came looking for them. At the same time, the humans were informed, that Piri-Piri just needed to be sterilised as per law of dogs leaving the shelter, but as the owners wanted to produce puppies with her, then they did not want the dogs back anymore once she had been sterilised, and now both are looking for their individual new homes. Piri-Piri is very human-loving, she adores the volunteers and loves all attention. She will come to your lap, snuggle her nose in your armpit and do a happy dance with her helicopter tail. Piri walks very well on the leash and loves to go hiking with all her humans, and also her canine friends. Around the shelter she is pulling a bit on the leash due to lack of exercise, and because of the stress. She is coming from the countryside and is used to running around freely, now she is locked in a limited space kennel. Piri-Piri is looking for a family, who is happy about a dog looking for physical connection, and where no members of the family are scared of a dog occasionally jumping up on you, or intensely approaching you for attention and cuddles. She has such a sweet, kind presence, a child-like character, that makes you feel your parental instincts, wanting to take care of her and keep her safe. In the shelter Piri lives together with a group and she is very social with other dogs. At the same time, life in a kennel, with all the stress around, sometimes makes her a bit bossy with some of her kennel friends, of course we need to take into account that they are 4-5 dogs in one space, with nowhere to go if one of them wants space and quiet.... Piri could very well join a household with another friendly, social dog, or she could also be an only dog, as she is very human-oriented. In this case, regular canine socialisation should be provided to her, so she remains a well socialised friendly girl. Even though Piri is lovely with all humans she meets, then for her forever home, in case of children, they should be above 10 years old, due to her enthusiasm for physical contact. Her shoulder height is approximately 48cm.
