Bellissimo Poseidone non è solo un bello, è anche un accademico. Apparentemente, questo bravo ragazzo è molto interessato alla storia di Lemni e stava passeggiando nell'area archeologica di Kaveiria. Fortunatamente, una persona che ama gli animali lavora lì e ci ha informato della sua situazione - e ovviamente non era identificato e nessuno ha risposto ai nostri messaggi sulla sua scoperta. Forse è stato abbandonato, forse non volevano più lui, ma NOI lo vogliamo e ora è al sicuro nel rifugio. Il nostro veterinario stima che Poseidone abbia 3 anni e pesi 26 chili ora. Ma è un po' magro e crediamo che dovrebbe pesare almeno 30 chili. Avendo un poco di peso inferiore, ha superato il controllo sanitario con grandi risultati ed è sterilizzato ora. Quindi tutto ciò che gli serve è una casa piena d'amore! Poseidone ha un carattere meraviglioso e amichevole, ama stare con le persone. È ottimo con le cagne del rifugio e potrebbe certamente vivere con una femmina. Non è molto amico degli altri maschi e avrà bisogno di un po' di addestramento per incontrarli quando esce. Per quanto riguarda i gatti, devono morire! Non può convivere con un gatto a casa - per lui sono spuntini su gambe. Poseidone è un cane molto, molto attivo che necessita di una famiglia con esperienza con razze grandi e intelligenti come lui (preferibilmente esperienza con tipi di pastori tedeschi) e sa come stimolarlo mentalmente e fisicamente. È un ragazzo molto dolce - assolutamente non aggressivo - ma a causa della sua dimensione e forza, crediamo che non debba vivere con bambini piccoli. Come quasi tutti i nostri cani, non sappiamo cosa sia successo nella vita di Poseidone prima che si interessasse all'archeologia. Questo significa che la sua futura famiglia dovrà aspettarsi di iniziare con tutta l'addestramento dall'inizio, come si farebbe con un cucciolo - addestramento per andare a fare pipì, camminare al guinzaglio, addestramento per stare da soli a casa - ne avrà bisogno di tutti! Ma siamo sicuri che è un ragazzo meraviglioso, che fiorirà nel cuore della giusta famiglia. Sono un ragazzo dolce e bello che sa che la mia famiglia per sempre è là fuori, pronta per me! Mi piace passare il tempo con le persone. Sono ottimo con le cagne femmine e potrei vivere felicemente con una, ma non sono molto sicuro dei maschi e certamente nessun gatto! Penso che siano solo per inseguirli!

Handsome Poseidon is not just a looker, he’s an academic too. Apparently, this good boy is super interested in the history of Lemnos and was hanging out at the archaeological ruin of Kaveiria. Thankfully, an animal lover works there and alerted us of his plight – and needless to say he wasn’t chipped and no one responded to our posts about his discovery. Maybe he was dumped, maybe he’s unwanted, but WE want him and he’s safe at the shelter now. Our vet estimates Poseidon to be 3 years old and he weighs 26 kilos now. But he’s a little thin and we believe he should be at least 30 kilos. As from being a little under weight, he passed his health check with flying colours and is also sterilised now. So all he needs is a loving home! Poseidon has an amazing, friendly character, who loves to be with people. He’s excellent with the female dogs at the shelter and could certainly live with a female. He’s not crazy about other males and would need some training in meeting males when out and about. As for cats, they must die! No way can he share his home with a cat – snacks on legs in his eyes. Poseidon is a very, very active dog who needs a family that have experience with large, clever breeds like him (preferably experience with German Shepherd types) and know how to stimulate him mentally and physically. He is a very kind boy – not aggressive at all – but due to his size and strength, we believe he shouldn’t live with little kids. As with almost all our dogs, we’ve no idea what happened in Poseidon’s life before he took a fancy to archaeology. This means his future family need to expect to start with all training from the beginning as one would with a little puppy – toilet training, walking on a lead, alone home training – he’ll need it all! But we are sure that he’s a wonderful boy, that will bloom in the heart of the right family. I’m a sweet, handsome boy who just knows that my forever family is out there, ready for me! I love hanging out with people. I’m great with female dogs too and would happily live with one, but I’m not very sure about male dogs yet, and definitely no cats! I think they’re just for chasing!
