Rosie è una ragazza adorabile che ha avuto parecchi cambiamenti nella sua vita e ora cerca una casa paziente e comprensiva dove possa finalmente stabilirsi. Originariamente nata in una fattoria, Rosie ha vissuto in diverse case, passando recentemente un mese in affidamento prima di arrivare da noi. Nel suo precedente ambiente, ha faticato ad ambientarsi in un ambiente familiare molto attivo, quindi riteniamo che sarebbe più adatta a una casa più tranquilla, solo per adulti, dove possa godere di una routine più prevedibile. Durante il suo periodo in affidamento, Rosie ha vissuto insieme ad altri quattro cani e un gatto. Si è trovata bene con il gatto e generalmente ha scelto di ignorare gli altri cani. È stata anche addestrata alla toeletta, addestrata alla gabbia, ha viaggiato bene in auto e si è trovata bene a essere lasciata da sola per alcune ore. Ha risposto bene ai comandi di base e si è trovata a suo agio camminando per strade tranquille, anche se non ha avuto molta esposizione a ambienti più affollati. Rosie può essere un po' timida quando incontra nuove persone e avrà bisogno di tempo per costruire la sua fiducia. In una delle sue precedenti case, Rosie ha reagito a certi oggetti domestici e occasionalmente ha morso le caviglie delle persone. Anche se il suo affidatario non ha riscontrato questo comportamento, abbiamo visto Rosie tentare di mordere la parte posteriore delle gambe di un membro dello staff quando si è alzato e si è allontanato da lei. Abbiamo già visto un certo miglioramento in questo comportamento man mano che si stabilizza. Riteniamo che Rosie trarrà beneficio da un proprietario esperto e calmo che comprende che alcune delle sue reazioni possono essere legate all'incertezza e che può aiutarla a imparare modi più appropriati per far fronte. Avrà bisogno di una guida dolce e costante e di una casa dove non sia sopraffatta da troppa attività. Nonostante la sua iniziale timidezza, Rosie ha accettato di essere maneggiata con delicatezza e sta già diventando più a suo agio con il nostro personale. Rosie is a lovely girl who has had quite a few changes in her life and is now looking for a patient, understanding home where she can finally settle.Originally born on a farm, Rosie has lived in several homes, most recently spending a month in foster care before coming to us. In her previous home, she struggled to settle into a busy family environment, so we feel she would be best suited to a quieter, adult-only home where she can enjoy a more predictable routine.During her time in foster care, Rosie lived alongside four other dogs and a cat. She was fine with the cat and generally chose to ignore the other dogs. She was also housetrained, crate trained, travelled well in the car and was happy being left alone for a few hours. She responded well to basic commands and was comfortable walking along quiet streets, although she hasn't had much exposure to busier environments.Rosie can be a little shy when meeting new people and will need time to build her confidence. In one of her previous homes, Rosie was reported to react to certain household items and occasionally nip at people's ankles. Although her foster carer didn't experience this behaviour, we did see Rosie attempt to nip at the back of a staff member's legs when they stood up and walked away from her. We have already seen some improvement in this behaviour as she begins to settle.We feel Rosie will benefit from an experienced, calm owner who understands that some of her reactions may be linked to uncertainty and who can help her learn more appropriate ways of coping. She will need gentle, consistent guidance and a home where she isn't overwhelmed by too much activity.Despite her initial shyness, Rosie has been accepting of gentle handling and is already becoming more comfortable with our staff. We hope that, given the right environment, she will continue to grow in confidence.REHOMING FEE £360
