Lupo Aquile è arrivato al rifugio già una volta prima, quando si era allontanato dal posto in cui era tenuto. In quel momento è tornato indietro, ma dopo la seconda fuga, con una catena pesante e stretta intorno al collo, non è più tornato nel suo precedente domicilio, poiché la sua situazione di vita lì non è adatta a un giovane cane-lupo primitivo, un animale sociale del branco. Quando Aquile è arrivato da noi, i primi giorni era timido, insicuro e molto sensibile quando le persone si avvicinavano alla sua testa, ma non gli è voluto molto tempo per rendersi conto che è al sicuro e amato qui. Tuttavia, la prigionia, sia in una gabbia che con una catena, è tortura per un cane-primitivo come Aquile, anche se cerca pazientemente di sopportare le ore. Aquile è un cane-lupo cecoslovacco di aspetto epico, che cattura tutti gli sguardi quando passa. C'è una sensazione primitiva nel suo aspetto, un richiamo che sembra natura, vento, tempesta, campi e montagne, come se avessi catturato qualcosa di raro vedendolo in mezzo ai campi, pronto a ululare come un lupo. Una creatura magnifica che è altrettanto bella per il suo carattere quanto per la sua bellezza. Anche se ama stare con i volontari, Aquile può essere indipendente dagli umani, come ci si aspetta dalla sua razza, ma invita anche voi a unirvi al divertimento, e guarda dove sei o se stai arrivando quando scompari all'angolo. La razza stessa può essere timida e insicura per natura, specialmente in un ambiente umano, e probabilmente non sarà il tipo di cane che va a salutare gli estranei, probabilmente rimarrà vicino al suo branco. Ha un ottimo richiamo, ma sembra apprezzare quando lo chiami per un motivo, e mostra la sua impazienza verso le cose noiose, come posare in dieci modi diversi per le foto. Quando gratti il punto giusto sulla sua schiena, lui mostra la sua felicità con un piccolo balzo divertente. Cammina molto bene, calmo e composto al guinzaglio, il che è veramente un vantaggio poiché è un grande cane giovane. Durante la sua giornata fuori dal rifugio, ha viaggiato bene in auto e ha apprezzato camminare in natura e sulla spiaggia molto. Rinfrescarsi nel fiume era la sua cosa preferita, ed è così facile capire che appartiene vicino alla natura. Anche se Aquile è un buon ragazzo, allegro, rispettoso e domestico, dobbiamo rispettare la razza primitiva e le sue esigenze. La socializzazione precoce e l'addestramento sono molto importanti per Aquile. Con un buon addestramento, eccellerà in molti tipi diversi di attività, ma ha bisogno di vedere uno scopo per la missione desiderata - non pensiamo che sia il tipo di cane che gode di semplice addestramento a trucchi o enigmi con premi alimentari. Si annoia facilmente con compiti semplici offerti e è selettivo riguardo ai premi basati su cibo, sebbene snack naturali e carne suscitino maggior interesse. Sono fortemente consigliati metodi di addestramento positivo. Mostra interesse per altri cani e, preferibilmente, cerca una casa con una femmina dello stesso tipo e energia. Potrebbe potenzialmente essere l'unico cane di una persona molto esterna, che gli fornirà opportunità molto regolari di socializzazione positiva con altri cani, così non vivrà in isolamento della specie. Aquile, anche se è un buon ragazzo e non un cane complicato affatto, non è adottabile da proprietari esperti di cani per la prima volta, poiché avrà bisogno di una forte leadership del branco, coinvolgimento fisico e mentale. Cerca anche una casa con spazio all'aperto in un'area rurale e non vuole vivere in un appartamento chiuso o in un ambiente urbano. La sua altezza alle spalle è circa 72 cm.

Wolf Aquiles came to the shelter already once before, when he had escaped the place he was kept. At that time he still went back to the residence, but after the second time he escaped, with a massive, tight metal chain around his neck, he no longer went back to his previous residence, as his living situation there is not suitable for a primitive young wolf dog, a social pack animal. When Aquiles arrived to us, the the first day or two he was shy, insecure and very sensitive about people reaching to the direction of his neck, but it did not take him long at all to realise that he is safe and loved here. But confinement, whether in a kennel or on a chain, is torture for a primal dog like Aquiles, even though he is patiently trying his best to live through the hours. Aquiles is an epic-looking Czechoslovakian wolfdog, catching all eyes he passes. There is a primal feeling to his presence, a calling that feels like nature, wind, storm, fields and mountains, like you've captured something rare when you see him standing in a field, ready for a wolf howl. A magnificent creature who is just as beautiful for his character as his is for his looks. Though he loves to be around volunteers, Aquiles can also be independant from humans, as expected from his breed, but he invites you also to join in the fun, and he looks where you are or if you're coming when you are disappearing around the corner. The breed itself can be shy and insecure by nature, especially in a human setting, and most likely will not be the kind of dog to go greeting strangers, he will probably be staying by his pack. He has great recall, just that he seems to appreciate when you call him for a reason, and shows his impatience with boring things, like posing in 10 different ways for photos. When you scratch the right spot on his back, then he shows his happiness with a little funny jump. He walks very well, calm and collected on the leash, which is really an asset as he is a big young dog. During his day out of the shelter, he travelled well in the car and enjoyed walking in the nature and on the beach so much. Cooling off in the river was his favourite thing, and it is so easy to see that he belongs near the nature. Though Aquiles is a kind, cheerful, respectful and domesticated, we do need to respect the primitive breed and their needs. Early socialization and training is very important with Aquiles. With good training, he will excel in many different types of activities, but he needs to see a purpose for the desired task - we do not think he is the kind of dog to enjoy simple trick training or puzzles with snacks. He gets bored easily of the simple tasks offered and is selective about food-based rewards, though natural snacks and meat raise his interest more. Positive reinforcement training methods are highly recommended. He shows interest in other dogs and preferably he is looking for a home with a female dog of similar breed and energy. He could potentially be an only dog of a very outdoorsy human, who will provide him with very regular positive dog socialisation opportunities, so he would not be living in species isolation. Aquiles, though he is a very good boy and not a complicated dog at all, he is not rehomed to first-time dog owners, as he will need strong pack leadership, physical & mental engagement. He is also looking for a home with outdoors space in a rural area, and is not looking to live in a confined apartment or in a city environment. His ideal home does not have small children or any small animals, as we have to take into account primal prey instincts. His shoulder height is approximately 72cm.
