Zeus è uno dei casi più particolari che abbiamo nel rifugio. È stato tolto da una terribile situazione di vita, essendo stato allevato e "addestrato" per il combattimento tra cani. Questo determina in modo triste una cosa molto importante per tutta la sua vita: Zeus non può stare con nessun altro cane in questa vita. Nella sua precedente vita, era stato maltrattato a un livello così profondo di coscienza, che questo non lo lascerà mai più - vedere un altro cane per lui significa "uccidere o essere ucciso". Vedere altri cani lo stressa molto, e per la sua felicità negli ultimi anni della sua vita, cerchiamo una persona molto responsabile per lui, che prenda questa situazione con serietà al 120%. Ora parliamo dei lati positivi di Zeus: adora molto i suoi volontari preferiti e ama passare tutti i momenti possibili con loro - sia per passeggiate, accompagnare il suo custode del rifugio in garage e per gite in auto, e semplicemente rilassarsi sul divano. Zeus ha avuto un inizio orribile alla sua vita, e ora, nella seconda parte della sua vita, i nostri volontari cercano di renderla il più piacevole possibile all'interno del rifugio. Ogni settimana Zeus gode di un trattamento con massaggi per cani effettuato da un esperto K9, e lascia che tu lo tocchi ovunque sul suo corpo senza problemi! Se lo motivi un po', anche lui diventa giocoso e ti invita a una piccola lotta! Attenzione però, il suo muso è così lungo che può facilmente sbattere contro di te! Zeus ha trascorso molto tempo nel rifugio e speriamo che ci sia una luce in fondo al tunnel per lui, una casa che lo accetti con i suoi bagagli - un passato che non ha scelto, un passato in cui era vittima. Quando è arrivato al rifugio, era estremamente magro e era stato avvelenato, il suo arrivo è stato uno dei peggiori casi che il nostro rifugio abbia visto. Ora Zeus è sano e controllato da diversi veterinari - i suoi esami del sangue sono buoni, la sua mobilità è buona, pelle, occhi, orecchie - è un cane anziano sano! Pesca circa 16 chilogrammi e ha circa 35 cm di altezza. Zeus is one of the more special cases that we have in the shelter. He was taken away from a terrible scenario of life, having been bred and "trained" for dogfighting. This very sadly determines one very important thing for the rest of his life - Zeus cannot be together with ANY other dog in this lifetime anymore. In his previous life, he was abused to such a deep level of consciousness, that this will never leave him anymore - seeing another dog means for him "kill or be killed". Seeing other dogs really stresses him massively, and for his happiness in the last years of his life, we are looking for a very responsible human for him, who takes this with 120% seriousness. Now, to the beautiful sides of Zeus: he loves his favourite volunteers very much and enjoys spending all possible moments with them - either for walking, accompanying his shelter caretaker to the garage and on car drives, and simply chilling on the sofa. Zeus had such a horrific start to his life, that now on the second half of his life, our volunteers try to make it as nice for him as possible in a shelter environment. Every week Zeus is enjoying a dog massage treatment by a K9 massage specialist, and he let's you touch him all over his body without drama! If you motivate him a bit, then he also gets playful and invites you for a little wrestle! Careful though, his nose is so long that he bounces into you easily! Zeus has spent such a long time in the shelter and we are hoping that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for him, a home that accepts him with his baggage - a past that he himself did not choose, a past where he was a victim. When he arrived to the shelter, he was extremely underweight and he had been poisoned, his arrival was one of the worst cases that our shelter has seen. Now Zeus is healthy and checked by several veterinaries - his blood tests are good, his mobility is good, skin, eyes, ears - he is a healthy senior bully! Zeus weighs about 16kilos and is only about 35cm high.
