Bella è entrata nel nostro allevamento estremamente sovrappeso e con evidenti difficoltà respiratorie. È stata in un ambiente di accoglienza dove ha perso peso in modo costante fino a quando non è stata pronta per l'intervento chirurgico BOAS e ora è un cane completamente diverso! Bella è molto amichevole con le persone e adora ricevere visitatori nel suo ambiente di accoglienza, che saluta eccitato alla porta e saltella felicemente sulle gambe disponibili. È stata eccezionale nell'ambiente di accoglienza ma a volte chiede di essere lasciata fuori durante la notte o viene disturbata da luci esterne e trovare una routine serale che le si addice è un lavoro in corso! Una cosa che sappiamo che Bella incontra molte difficoltà è la televisione, soprattutto quando ci sono animali in essa. Correrà e abbaierà alla TV. La famiglia di accoglienza sta ricevendo consigli dal nostro team di comportamento su questo, come faranno i futuri adottatori. Bella trova l'esercizio molto più facile ora che è in forma migliore e può essere sorprendentemente forte al guinzaglio! È molto reattiva quando vede un altro cane e sta imparando a concentrarsi sul suo accompagnatore. Bella può vivere con bambini di età scolare ma non con altri cani. Ha vissuto con gatti in precedenza ma a volte li insegue fuori casa. Ha recentemente avuto un intervento per migliorare la sua respirazione ed è pienamente recuperata. Bella è addestrata in casa ma diventa stressata se lasciata sola per qualsiasi periodo di tempo.

Bella came in to our care incredibly overweight and with some obvious difficulties with her breathing. She has been in a foster home where she has been able to lose weight steadily until she was ready for BOAS surgery and is now a whole new dog! Bella is very friendly with people and loves having visitors in her foster home, greeting them excitedly at the door and happily jumping on welcoming laps. She has been brilliant in her foster home but does sometimes ask to be let out during the night, or is disturbed at times by lights outside and finding a nighttime routine that suits her is a work in progress! Something we know that Bella really struggles with is the TV, more so when there are animal on it. She will lunge and bark at the TV. Her foster family are receiving advice from our Behaviour team on this, as will her adopters. Bella finds exercise a lot easier now she's in better shape, and can be surprisingly strong on her lead! She is very reactive when she spots another dog and she's being taught to focus on her handler instead. Bella can live with children of high school age but not other dogs. She has lived with cats before but she does chase them outside of the home. She has recently had surgery to improve her breathing and has made a full recovery. Bella is house trained but becomes stressed if left alone for any length of time.
