*Stiamo attualmente accettando le domande per DOPEY e BASHFUL, che sono quasi pronti, ma avranno bisogno di un ambiente tranquillo e comprensivo, disposto a continuare il loro addestramento, incluso l'addestramento al bagno. Dopey La loro storia: Nel novembre abbiamo ricevuto una chiamata da uno dei guardiani canini del paese riguardo a 7 cani che erano stati abbandonati in un parcheggio in 2 gabbie per cani. Erano descritti come tutti piccoli e spaventati. Quando sono arrivati al rifugio sono stati portati dentro perché non avevano mai indossato collari o addirittura visto una guinzaglio. Negligenti e senza sapere chi fossimo, unghie troppo lunghe, peli puzzolenti di urina. Dove erano stati tenuti questi poveri cani? Incrociati, sfruttati, questi poveri cani erano davvero commoventi. 4 mesi dopo erano ancora spaventati. Li abbiamo lavati, pettinati e deparasitati (sì, i loro stomaci erano pieni di vermi!). Sono stati castrati in modo che i loro corpi non possano più essere abusati. Avranno bisogno di addestramento al bagno. Ma avranno ancora bisogno di molto tempo e non saranno pronti per essere riaccolti per mesi invece che settimane. Con 7 cani che arrivavano in un solo giorno, non avevamo altra scelta che battezzarli con i nomi dei 7 nani, Benvenuti Doc, Grumpy, Sleepy, Happy, Bashful, Sneezy e Dopey. *Sneezy, Sleepy, Doc e Grumpy sono ora in una nuova casa con successo. Purtroppo abbiamo perso Happy.*

*We are now taking applications on DOPEY and BASHFUL, who are almost there, but will need a quiet , understanding home, willing to continue their training, including toilet training. Dopey Their story: In November we received a call from one of the counties dog wardens about 7 dogs who had been dumped in a lay-by in 2 dog crates. They were described as all being small and frightened. When they arrived at the rescue they were carried in as they had never worn collars or even seen a lead. Neglected and with no idea who we were, nails too long, coats smelling of urine. Where had these poor dogs been kept? Inter bred, used, these poor dogs were heart breaking. 4 months on and they were still scared. We have bathed, groomed and wormed (yes there tummies were full of worms!). They have been neutered so their bodies can no longer be abused. They will need toilet training. But they are still going to need a lot of time and weren’t be ready to be re-homed for months rather than weeks. With 7 dogs arriving in one day, we had no choice but to name them after the 7 dwarfs, Welcome Doc, Grumpy, Sleepy, Happy, Bashful, Sneezy and Dopey. *Sneezy, Sleepy, Doc and Grumpy are now successfully in a new home. Sadly we lost Happy. *
