*Nous acceptons maintenant les demandes pour DOPEY et BASHFUL, qui sont presque prêts, mais auront besoin d'un foyer calme et compréhensif, prêt à continuer leur entraînement, y compris l'entraînement aux toilettes. Dopey Leur histoire : En novembre, nous avons reçu un appel d'un des chiens gardiens du comté concernant 7 chiens qui avaient été abandonnés dans une aire de repos dans 2 caisses. Ils ont été décrits comme tous petits et effrayés. Lorsqu'ils sont arrivés au refuge, ils ont été portés car ils n'avaient jamais porté de collier ou même vu une laisse. Négligés et ignorant qui nous étions, leurs griffes étaient trop longues, leurs poils sentaient l'urine. Où ces pauvres chiens avaient-ils été gardés ? Croisés entre eux, utilisés, ces pauvres chiens étaient déchirants. 4 mois plus tard, ils étaient toujours effrayés. Nous les avons baignés, toilettés et vermifugés (oui, leurs ventres étaient pleins de vers !). Ils ont été stérilisés afin que leurs corps ne puissent plus être abusés. Ils auront besoin d'être entraînés aux toilettes. Mais ils auront encore besoin de beaucoup de temps et ne seront pas prêts à être réadoptés pendant plusieurs mois plutôt que quelques semaines. Avec 7 chiens qui arrivaient le même jour, nous n'avions pas le choix mais de les nommer selon les 7 nains, Bienvenue Doc, Grumpy, Sleepy, Happy, Bashful, Sneezy et Dopey. *Sneezy, Sleepy, Doc et Grumpy sont désormais installés dans un nouveau foyer. Malheureusement, nous avons perdu Happy.*

*We are now taking applications on DOPEY and BASHFUL, who are almost there, but will need a quiet , understanding home, willing to continue their training, including toilet training. Dopey Their story: In November we received a call from one of the counties dog wardens about 7 dogs who had been dumped in a lay-by in 2 dog crates. They were described as all being small and frightened. When they arrived at the rescue they were carried in as they had never worn collars or even seen a lead. Neglected and with no idea who we were, nails too long, coats smelling of urine. Where had these poor dogs been kept? Inter bred, used, these poor dogs were heart breaking. 4 months on and they were still scared. We have bathed, groomed and wormed (yes there tummies were full of worms!). They have been neutered so their bodies can no longer be abused. They will need toilet training. But they are still going to need a lot of time and weren’t be ready to be re-homed for months rather than weeks. With 7 dogs arriving in one day, we had no choice but to name them after the 7 dwarfs, Welcome Doc, Grumpy, Sleepy, Happy, Bashful, Sneezy and Dopey. *Sneezy, Sleepy, Doc and Grumpy are now successfully in a new home. Sadly we lost Happy. *
