Lassie, like her three fellow dogs, currently appears to be clearly overwhelmed at the animal shelter. The new environment and new people are still unsettling and stressful for them, but Lassie is willing to approach people, although very cautiously and hesitantly. Before we can provide a meaningful character description of this reserved female dog, Lassie needs time to settle in, get used to things, and overcome her fears. We can imagine that Lassie will learn that life can be very pleasant and relaxed with patient, calm, lovingly consistent people who do not confirm her worries and fears, but instead accompany her on her way with composure and secure guidance. We assume that Lassie has a strong sense of smell and a considerable prey drive. Lassie has an elevated Leishmania titer. A home and a regular daily routine would also positively influence Lassie. (mit Video) Lassie wurde zusammen mit drei weiteren Hunden von einem Jäger abgegeben, der keine Verwendung mehr für sie hatte. Lassie zeigt sich wie ihre drei Leidensgenossen derzeit im Tierheim noch deutlich überfordert. Die neue Umgebung, die neuen Menschen verunsichern und stressen sie noch, aber Lassie ist bereit, sich auf die Menschen einzulassen, wenn auch noch sehr vorsichtig und zögerlich. Bevor wir zu einer aussagekräftigen Charakterbeschreibung der zurückhaltenden Hündin gelangen, benötigt Lassie Zeit, um anzukommen, sich einzugewöhnen und ihre Ängste abzubauen. Wir können uns vorstellen, dass Lassie mit Hilfe geduldiger, ruhiger, liebevoll konsequenter Menschen, die sie nicht in ihren Sorgen und Ängsten bestätigen sondern mit Gelassenheit und sicherer Führung auf ihrem Weg begleiten, lernen wird, dass das Leben sehr schön und entspannt sein kann. Wir gehen davon aus, dass Lassie einen ausgeprägten Geruchssinn und eine ordentliche Portion Jagdtrieb im Gepäck hat. Lassie hat einen erhöhten Leishmaniosetiter.
