Adopt Mike

Mike is one of those dogs that when abandoned, gets mad at the world, and if on top of that, they end up in the dog pound, their chances of being adopted vanish. We met Mike at the dog pound; you would peek to see it and it would show its teeth, imagine if someone were to adopt and found a Mike in that angry posture... they would pass by, but we decided to take a chance on Mike and give it a chance... At first, Mike didn't like the animal rescue association much; it still had its angry posture, didn't want to leave its comfort zone, which it thought was its territory, but we made it understand it was wrong and that something much better was waiting for it... And in a week, everything changed. That scared, reluctant, and "saborio" (a term used for a dog that is difficult to handle) little pup understood that what we were offering was much better than what it had been hiding from. Now, it's no longer a struggle to put the leash on it; it comes to us to have it put on, and we can pet and touch it constantly! It now is a stable and balanced dog, has forgotten its abandonment, mistreatment, and its previous bad life.

Mike es de esos perritos que cuando son abandonados se enfandan con el mundo y si encima lo hacen en la perrera sus oportunidades de ser adoptados se esfuman. A Mike lo conocimos en la perrera, te asomabas a verlo y te enseñaba los dientes, imaginaros si alguien va a adoptar y se encuentra con un Mike en esa postura de enfado...pasaria de largo, pero nosotros decidimos apostar por Mike y darle una oprtunidad...a Mike los primeros dia en la protectora tampoco le gustaron mucho, seguia con su postura de enfado, no queria salir de su zona, que el pensaba que era su zona de conford, pero le hicimos entender que estaba equivocado y que le esperaba algo mucho mejor....y en una semana todo cambio, ese perrito asustadizo, retante y ¨saborio¨ entendió que lo que le ofreciamos era mucho mejor, que eso en lo que el se habia refugiado... Ahora ya no es una odisea ponerle la correa, el viene a buscarnos para que se la pongamos, ya podemos acariciarlo y toquetearlo ¡¡ nos los pide constantemente!!, ahora ya es un perrito estable y equilibrado, ha olvidado su abandono, su maltrato y su mala vida anterior....buscamos para Mike una familia que nos tome el relevo y siga haciendo de Mike un perrito feliz como lo es ahora con nosotros
