12-05-26 Norma è una dolce ragazza che è entrata nel nostro affidamento da un allevatore in cerca di una nuova opportunità. Ha un ottimo temperamento e è contenta di ricevere attenzione e cure, quindi non crediamo che ci vorrà molto tempo per farla uscire dal guscio una volta che sarà in casa. Le piacerebbe trovare una casa tranquilla e silenziosa con adottanti che avranno tempo sufficiente per stare con lei e permetterle di abituarsi al suo ritmo. Considereremmo l'addestramento con adolescenti gentili e esperti di cani. Norma si intende perfettamente con i suoi amici nella gabbia e si affida alla loro compagnia per sentirsi a proprio agio, quindi avrà bisogno di un altro cane gentile e sicuro nella sua nuova casa per aiutarla a orientarsi e dargli la sicurezza che necessita mentre si abitua e trova il suo equilibrio. Poiché Norma non ha mai vissuto in casa prima, dovrà imparare tutto sul potty training, sulla passeggiata con guinzaglio e collare, e sui fondamenti della vita domestica. Con pazienza e una routine costante, inizierà a crescere in fiducia. Norma è una ragazza dolce e bella che trarrà beneficio da una casa tranquilla e supportiva, dove potrà costruire la propria fiducia al proprio ritmo e diventare un compagno molto amato. I nostri veterinari hanno notato che ha una lussazione della rotula di grado 2 in una gamba posteriore e una lussazione della rotula di grado 3 nell'altra gamba posteriore. Queste potrebbero migliorare con esercizi dolci man mano che si sviluppa la muscolatura. Al momento, Norma è in grado di camminare normalmente senza anomalie nel passo o zoppìe osservate. Le lussazioni sono stabili, non c'è alcun disturbo funzionale attuale e si mantiene una buona massa muscolare. Non è necessario alcun intervento al momento, sebbene si consigli una sorveglianza per eventuali futuri problemi di zoppìa, balzi o cambiamenti nel passo, e non sarebbe coperta dall'assicurazione. 12-05-26 Norma is a sweet girl who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start. She has a wonderful temperament and is happy to have some fuss and attention, so we don't think it will take her long to come out of her shell once she's in a home. She would love to find a calm and quiet home with adopters who will have plenty of time to spend with her and will allow her to settle in at her own pace. We would consider homing her with gentle, dog savvy teenagers. Norma gets on wonderfully with her kennel friends and relies on their company for comfort, so she will need another kind and confident resident dog in her new home to help guide her and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws. As Norma has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, walking on a lead and harness, and the other basics of home life. With patience and a consistent routine, she will begin to grow in confidence. Norma is a gentle and lovely girl who will benefit from a calm and supportive home, where she can build confidence at her own pace and become a much-loved companion. Our vets have noted that she has a Grade 2 luxating patella in one hind leg and a Grade 3 luxating patella in the other hind leg. These may improve with gentle exercise as she builds muscle. At present, Norma is able to walk normally with no gait abnormalities or lameness observed. The luxations are stable, with no current functional impairment, and good muscle mass is maintained. No intervention is needed at this stage, although monitoring is advised for any future lameness, skipping, or changes in gait, and it would not be coverable by insurance. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
