Pixel non aveva avuto un passato gentile. Da cucciolo, le sue orecchie erano state crudelemente tagliate dai cacciatori con la falsa convinzione che lo avrebbe reso un migliore cane da caccia. Quando questo non funzionò, Pixel fu semplicemente abbandonato. Ma ciò che il suo passato non gli ha tolto è la sua bellissima natura. Pixel è un ragazzo dolce e gentile con un temperamento calmo e affettuoso. Nonostante ciò che ha subito, è estremamente fiducioso con le persone e ama il contatto umano. È molto felice che gli tocchino e accarezzino le orecchie - anzi, i coccoloni sono proprio il suo forte. Con altri cani, Pixel non è aggressivo né prepotente. Se c'è una lite o un momento rumoroso, si allontana silenziosamente invece di immischiarsi. È il tipo di cane che sceglie sempre la pace invece del dramma. Pixel si adatterebbe a una casa che cerca un compagno gentile e stabile - qualcuno che apprezzi l'affetto, la fedeltà e una presenza dolce più della caotica energia alta. Non è invadente, non è esigente, è semplicemente dolcemente meraviglioso. Pixel vive attualmente con Gary & Michelle nella loro casa a Fleet con quattro altri cani e frequenti visitatori canini. Pixel si adatterebbe a una casa con un altro cane con cui potrebbe costruire la sua fiducia. Pixel ha già dimostrato una incredibile resistenza. Ora ha bisogno solo di una casa che gli mostri la gentilezza che ha sempre meritato 💙 La maggior parte dei nostri cani è stata trovata abbandonata come cuccioli, buttata via come cucciolate indesiderate, come spesso accade in Portogallo dove la castrazione non è così comune come nel Regno Unito. Dopo il soccorso, tutti i nostri cuccioli trascorrono tempo in rifugi privati e case di accoglienza, il che significa che arrivano felici, sani e ben socializzati. Pixel’s past wasn’t kind to him. As a young dog, his ears were cruelly cut by hunters in the misguided belief it would make him a better hunting dog. When that failed, Pixel was simply discarded. But what his past didn’t take from him is his beautiful nature. Pixel is a soft, gentle boy with a calm and affectionate temperament. Despite what he has been through, he is incredibly trusting with people and loves human contact. He’s more than happy to have his ears touched and stroked — in fact, cuddles are very much his thing. Around other dogs, Pixel is non-confrontational and unassuming. If there’s a squabble or noisy moment, he quietly removes himself rather than getting involved. He’s the sort of dog who chooses peace over drama every time. Pixel would suit a home looking for a kind, steady companion — someone who values affection, loyalty and a gentle presence over high-energy chaos. He’s not pushy, not demanding, just quietly wonderful. Pixel is currently living with Gary & Michelle in their home in Fleet with four other dogs and frequent doggy visitors. Pixel would suit a home with another dog who he could build his confidence with. Pixel has already shown incredible resilience. Now all he needs is a home that will show him the kindness he’s always deserved 💙 Most of our dogs have been found abandoned as young pups, discarded as unwanted litters, as is often the case in Portugal where neutering is not as common as in the UK.
