Adottare Pudding

La prima volta che abbiamo visto Pudding è stato un video di pochi secondi in cui era in un rifugio di eliminazione in Romania. Era estremamente rumoroso, estremamente sovraccarico e Pudding era magro come un chiodo appiccicato nel retro di una piccola gabbia di legno insieme al suo amico Coco, tremava per paura assoluta, era assolutamente straziante! Purtroppo non avevamo spazio per prendere subito Pudding ma appena possibile lo abbiamo messo immediatamente su un furgone di trasporto in Inghilterra. Pudding è ancora molto magro e molto pauroso. Sta ricevendo 4 pasti piccoli al giorno mentre lo rafforziamo gradualmente e gli sarà dato tutto il tempo necessario per imparare a fidarsi di noi e speriamo finalmente sentirsi sicuro. L'unica consolazione di Pudding nella vita sono gli altri cani. Sono l'unica cosa a cui è riuscito a fare affidamento e non ha avuto paura. Avrà bisogno di essere adottato in una casa con almeno un altro cane, uno che sia gentile, vivace e che gli mostri la strada nella vita. Non riuscirebbe a stare in una casa senza un altro cane per conforto. Pudding è troppo pauroso per potergli mettere un collare e una guinzaglio per testarlo in modo sicuro quindi per ora cercheremo una casa per lui senza un gatto in casa. Pudding è ancora molto chiuso nel rifugio e quindi non siamo in grado di ottenere una vera valutazione del livello di energia che avrà. Poiché Pudding dovrà essere adottato in una casa con almeno un altro cane, crediamo che possa stare da solo per circa 4 ore. Pudding è ancora terrorizzato e quindi è molto lontano dall'iniziare l'addestramento alla guinzaglio. Pudding non ha alcun tipo di addestramento base. Questo arriverà nel tempo una volta che si sarà ambientato e avrà imparato a fidarsi pienamente dei suoi adottatori.

The first we ever saw of Pudding was a few second long video of him in a kill shelter in Romania. It extremely loud, extremely overcrowded and Pudding was skin and bone pinned to the back of a small wooden kennel with his friend Coco, he was shaking with absolute fear, it was absolutely heartbreaking! Unfortunately, we had no space to take Pudding in straight away but as soon as we were able to, we got him straight onto a transport van to the UK. Pudding is still very skinny and very fearful. He's being fed 4 small meals a day whilst we slowly build him up and he'll be given all the time that he needs to learn to trust us and hopefully start to finally feel safe. Puddings only comfort in life is other dogs. They are the only thing that he's been able to rely on and not had to fear. He will need to be adopted into a home with at least one other dog, one that is kind, playful and will show him the way in life. He wouldn't cope in a home without another dog from comfort. Pudding is far too fearful of to be able to put a collar and lead on him to be able to safely cat test him so for the time being, we will be looking for a home for him without a resident cat in the home. Pudding is still very shut down at the kennels and so we're unable to get a true read of what we think his energy levels will be As Pudding will need to be adopted to a home where there is at least one other dog, we believe he'd be fine to be left for around a 4 hour period. Pudding is still absolutely terrified and so is a long way off from starting lead training Pudding has no form of basic training. This will all come in time once he has settled and learnt to fully trust his adopters
