Samira è una bellissima, attiva, vivace e molto affettuosa femmina di Podenco, che proviene dal rifugio Pavlevas nella zona di Monda/Guaro che deve chiudere a causa della cattiva salute del principale custode, e il nostro team di rifugio sta cercando di aiutare i cani a trovare una casa prima che il posto debba essere abbandonato completamente... Samira è cresciuta in un ambiente molto sociale per cani, poiché nel rifugio Pavlevas i cani vivono in un grande branco insieme, fino a 80 cani in un gruppo. Samira ha vissuto quasi sempre all'esterno, quindi ha bisogno di abituarsi alla vita all'interno una volta adottata. Le piace fare passeggiate con i volontari e cammina bene al guinzaglio. Qui nel rifugio vive insieme a un ragazzo Podenco speciale, che lascerà presto il rifugio, e speriamo che Samira non resti troppo a lungo... Samira ama particolarmente altri cani maschi, e anche se potrebbe vivere con le femmine, quando vive con altre femmine sembra preferire di essere la regina del gruppo. Samira potrebbe anche essere un cane solo della famiglia, poiché è molto focalizzata sugli umani e preferisce trascorrere il tempo con le persone, ma avere un amico canino a casa sicuramente la supporterà mentre scopre una nuova vita e durante tutte le esperienze di spostamento in un mondo diverso da quello che conosceva finora. Samira non è timida, anche se ha un lato molto dolce. Quando si avvicina per abbracci, si abbassa a terra e mette la testa giù. Ma quando non ti ha visto per un po' e è molto felice di rivederti, salta tutto intorno a te. Samira ascolta e impara bene, quindi saremmo anche sicuri di rimetterla in adozione a una famiglia con bambini un po' più grandi e educati ai cani. È interessata alla fauna selvatica e le piace correre dietro agli uccelli, ma non in modo ossessivo, più come un elegante cervo che corre in campo. Potrebbe anche vivere in un'area suburbana o persino ai margini di una città o paese, poiché non ha paura e affronta sempre la vita con un atteggiamento positivo, pronto per l'avventura! L'altezza delle spalle di Samira è 52 cm.

Samira is a beautiful active, lively, very affectionate Podenco girl, who is coming from Pavlevas shelter in Monda/Guaro area which needs to shut down due to the poor health of their main caretaker, and our shelter team is trying to help the dogs find a home before the place really needs to be left behind completely.... Samira has been growing up in a VERY dog-social environment as in Pavlevas the dogs live in a huge pack all together, even up to 80 dogs in a group. Samira has been living mostly outdoors, so he still needs to get used to life indoors once he would be adopted. She loves to go for walks with volunteers and walks nicely on the leash. Here in the shelter she lives together with a special Podenco boy, who is leaving the shelter soon, and we hope Samira will not stay too much longer... Samira especially likes other male dogs, and even though she could also live together with females, then living with other females, she seems to prefer to be the queen bee of the group. Samira could also be a single dog of the family, as she is very human-focused and absolutely prefers to spend time with the human, but having a canine friend at home will for sure support her when she is discovering a new life and when she goes through all the experiences of moving to a different world than she has known so far. Samira is not shy, even though she has a very soft side to her. When she approaches you for cuddles, she gets lower to the ground and puts her head down. But when she hasn't seen you for a while, and she is super happy to see you, then she is jumping all around you. Samira listens and learns well, so we would also be confident in rehoming her to a family with a bit older dog-educated children. She is interested in wildlife and likes to run after birds, but not in an obsessed way, more like a graceful deer running on a field. She could also potentially live in a sub-urban environment or even on the edge of a city/town, as she is not fearful, and always approachs life with a positive attitude, ready for adventure! Samira's shoulder height is 52cm.
