Bam is dolblij met knuffels en dichtbij te zijn als hij zich met mensen vertrouwd heeft. Aanvankelijk is hij terugshoudend bij nieuwe mensen; het is voor hem makkelijker om vrienden te maken als er lekkere trakteringen op tafel staan of als je bereid bent om een spelletje fetch te spelen. Bam houdt van het jagen op balletjes, speelgoedtrekspellen en knarsende speelgoed. Hij is een levendige persoon die snel leert. Hij kent al zitten, een pootje geven en wachten. Zijn favoriete trakteringen zijn kaas, kip en broccoli. Bam geniet van wandelingen op rustiger plekken zodat hij kan ontspannen, lage hondbevolking is essentieel voor succes omdat hij duidelijk maakt dat hij zorgen heeft als andere honden te dichtbij komen. Bam zou profiteren van adoptanten die hem kunnen helpen om zelfvertrouwen op te bouwen rond andere honden, werkend op afstand waar hij zich comfortabel voelt. (Wij kunnen adoptanten hierbij helpen en ondersteunen.) In het thuisklimaat is Bam rustig en ontspannen. Hij loopt graag door zijn tuin, hij houdt niet van de stofzuiger, hij haat lawaaiige omgevingen en gaat naar bed als hij klaar is. Huishoudelijke eisen: Bam is een knappe tweejarige labrador-poodle die een liefdevol thuis zoekt. Hij kan zijn huis delen met tienerkinderen van 16 jaar of ouder, is op zoek naar de enige hond in het huis en zal een huis zonder katten of kleine velligen nodig hebben. Er moet rekening worden gehouden met landbouwdieren. Bam is opgeleid. Hij reist goed in de auto voor korte reizen. Hij is gelukkig alleen thuis te laten gedurende een paar uren tegelijk als dit geleidelijk wordt opgebouwd. Hij kan omgaan met een redelijk drukke huishouding, hoewel hij waarschijnlijk terughoudend zal zijn ten aanzien van nieuwe bezoekers tot hij ze kent. Bam is a bright, affectionate boy who forms strong bonds with the people he knows and trusts. Once you've become friends, he absolutely loves snuggles, spending time close to his people, and being part of family life. Although he can be shy when meeting new people, Bam's playful side soon shines through. The quickest way to his heart is often through a tasty treat or a game of fetch! He loves chasing tennis balls, playing tug, and carrying around his favourite squeaky toys. Bam is a clever lad who enjoys learning and picks up training quickly. He already knows several cues, including sit, paw, and wait, and is always keen to show off his skills. Especially if cheese, chicken, or broccoli are on offer as a reward. At home, Bam is a settled and easy-going companion. He enjoys pottering around the garden, relaxing with his family, and happily taking himself off to bed when he's ready for some downtime. While he's not a fan of the hoover or particularly loud environments, he thrives in a home where he can enjoy a calm and predictable routine. Bam prefers quieter walking areas because he can feel worried when unfamiliar dogs come too close. He would benefit from adopters who are willing to continue helping him build positive associations and confidence around other dogs at a distance where he feels comfortable. Bam is a handsome two-year-old Lab Cross Poodle with a loving nature and lots of potential. He is looking for a home with teenage children aged 16 years and over and would like to be the only dog in the household. Bam will need a home without cats or small furries, and care may be needed around livestock. Bam is housetrained, travels well in the car for shorter journeys, and can happily be left alone for a few hours at a time once this has been built up gradually. He could settle well into a reasonably busy household, although he can be a little shy around new visitors initially and appreciates being given time to get to know people at his own pace. To help him feel relaxed and confident, Bam will need access to quieter walking locations where he can enjoy his walks without encountering large numbers of dogs.
