We’re calling for full mobilization!!! For quite some time now, we’ve had five shepherd dogs on our premises—five dogs taken into our care through intervention. Two males were left in a kennel off-site, while three young females were confined in a tiny, cramped micro-kennel. The intervention was tough and emotionally charged. The dogs have never known life outside of this situation; they were even afraid of their so-called “owners.” They were terrified and wary of every single movement. The females didn’t even deserve names. Today, the dogs are still far from ideal. However, they’ve already adjusted to their new surroundings, are eating their food, and are “somehow” managing to cope. Although we check on them regularly, the biggest progress so far has been made by Suriel (Dino)—he lets one staff member brush him, actively seeks petting, and today (August 5, 2026) he stepped onto the outdoor run for the first time. The rest of the animals remain very shy; they can’t walk on leashes and generally try to avoid any interaction. Still, there’s a glimmer of hope. The female most inclined to make contact is Vhagar—the chocolate-colored one. Visenya is more balanced, reserved, and carefully observant. Valyria will approach at a safe distance when offered food. Remiel (Karmelek) used to pee and poop indoors during his first days and would tremble all over at just the sight of a human—but now he happily approaches wet food. In fact, all five dogs seem to trust humans fastest when it comes to food. Our goal is to bring their mental state into balance, even if only at a minimal but satisfying level. This can only be achieved with the help of people who decide to give these dogs a home—a temporary home at first, then a permanent one—so they’ll never again have to go through the hell of changing conditions and locations. We won’t place these dogs in homes where they’d simply be left to guard the yard. They won’t—and can’t—be left alone once again. We want them to become full-fledged members of a family during their socialization period. Is living in an apartment a good idea? Not at the moment, definitely not. We dream of properties with gardens, where the dogs would have access to the house—in the first few weeks they probably wouldn’t use it, but who knows—maybe someday they’ll even start warming themselves on the couch. We’re looking for responsible, patient people who’ll devote the attention and time these dogs so desperately need to help them get comfortable with their new environment and new people. These dogs won’t be given to homes where their main living space would be a kennel and they’d get no walks at all. You might consider adopting them in pairs, where they’d feel happier and support each other. Before placing them in a temporary home, we require a pre-adoption questionnaire and a conversation with a staff member. We’d also like to inform you that a pre-adoption home visit will be conducted. The males are around two years old—given their current mental state, we can’t yet imagine castrating them. The females are only seven or eight months old; it’s still too early for them to undergo surgery.

Prosimy o pełną mobilizację!!! Od początków lipca 2026 na naszym pokładzie jest 5 owczarków odebranych interwencyjnie. Dwa samce były pozostawione sobie w kojcu poza posesją, a trzy młode suczki zamknięte w jednym małym mikrokojcu. Interwencja była ciężka i pełna emocji. Psiaki nie znają życia, bały się nawet pseudowłaściciela. Były przerażone i bały się każdego ruchu, suczki nie zasłużyły nawet na imiona. Dziś nadal psom daleko do ideału. Przyzwyczaiły się już jednak do nowego miejsca, pobierają pokarm i “jakoś” dają radę. Choć systematycznie do nich zaglądamy, to największy progres na ten moment zrobił tylko Suriel (Dino) – pozwala jednemu pracownikowi na czesanie, sam doprasza się o głaskanie, a dzisiaj (5 sierpnia 2026) pierwszy raz zaliczył wybieg. Reszta zwierząt jest bardzo nieśmiała, nie potrafią chodzić na smyczy i raczej starają się nie wchodzić w interakcje. Jest jednak światełko w tunelu. Suczką najbardziej skłonną do kontaktu jest Vhagar czyli czekoladka. Visenya to ta bardziej zrównoważona, nieufna i bacznie obserwująca. Valyria podejdzie na bezpieczną odległość po jedzenie. Remiel (Karmelek) jest psem, który przez pierwsze dni załatwiał się pod siebie i drżał całym ciałem na sam widok człowieka, a teraz potrafi już z zadowoleniem podejść do mokrego jedzenia. Zdecydowanie zresztą cała piątka najszybciej zaufa człowiekowi poprzez jedzenie. Naszym celem jest doprowadzenie ich psychiki do równowagi choćby na minimalnym, ale zadowalającym poziomie. To uda się tylko przy pomocy osób, które zdecydują się podarować tym psom dom – początkowo tymczasowy, następnie stały, tak by już nigdy więcej nie musiały przechodzić przez piekło zmiany warunków i miejsca. Psów nie wydamy do pilnowania podwórka. Nie będą i nie mogą po raz kolejny być pozostawione same sobie. Chcemy by w trakcie socjalizacji stawały się pełnoprawnymi członkami rodziny. Czy mieszkanie w bloku to dobry pomysł? Na ten moment zdecydowanie nie. Marzą się nam posesje z ogrodem, gdzie pies będzie miał dostęp do domu – w pierwszych tygodniach zapewne nie będą z tego korzystać ale z czasem kto wie, czy nie zechcą zagrzać kanapy. Szukamy osób odpowiedzialnych, cierpliwych, które poświęcą tym psom uwagę i czas, którego tak bardzo potrzebują, by przekonać się do nowego miejsca i nowych ludzi. Psy nie zostaną wydane do domów, gdzie głównym miejscem pobytu będzie kojec i brak spacerów. Można przemyśleć adopcje w dwupakach gdzie psy będą czuły się raźniej i będą dla siebie wsparciem. Przed wydaniem na dom tymczasowy obowiązuje ankieta przedadopcyjna, rozmowa z pracownikiem. Informujemy również, że będzie wykonana wizyta przedadopcyjna. Samce mają około 2 lat – przy ich aktualnej kondycji psychicznej na razie nie wyobrażamy sobie kastracji. Suczki mają dopiero 7-8 miesięcy u nich również na zabieg jest za wcześnie.
