Hope Rescue ledes av et engasjert bestyrelse som deler en passjon for dyrevelvære og en synspunkt om en fremtid der alle hunder behandles med omsorg, vennlighet og respekt. Bestemmelsens medlemmer spiller en viktig rolle i å gi ledelse, ansvar og støtte for å hjelpe frivillighetsorganisasjonen til å blomstre. De gir sin tid, ekspertise og energi til frivillighetsorganisasjonen på frivillig basis og er ansvarlige for å overvåke drift og lede oss mot å oppfylle vår målsetning. Hvert bestemmelsesmedlem har en viktig rolle her ved Hope Rescue og du kan møte dem alle nedenfor. Sarah er spent på å fortsette å jobbe sammen med teamet ved Hope Rescue for å gjennomgå og utvikle den strategiske planen (sammen med andre aktiviteter), gitt veksten til Hope Rescue de siste årene og utfordringene som finnes innen sektoren. Sarah ble valgt til leder for bestyrelsen/sekretariatet for Hope Rescue i 2023 og har over 15 års erfaring innen salg og markedsføring, og arbeider nå som kommersiell leder innen jernindustrien i Sør-Wales. Sarah er spent på å fortsette å jobbe sammen med teamet ved Hope Rescue for å gjennomgå og utvikle den strategiske planen (sammen med andre aktiviteter), gitt veksten til Hope Rescue de siste årene og utfordringene som finnes innen sektoren. Sarah bor like utenfor Cardiff sammen med sin mann og Hope Rescue-hunden Murray, som er en huskykryss – de elsker å gå, løpe og triatlon, samt å reise. Denne erfaringen har gjort Carl virkelig takknemlig for det fantastiske arbeidet som Hope Rescue gjør for å sikre at hunder som Indi får en annen sjans til en kjærlig hjem. Carl har over 25 års erfaring innen finanservice, med bakgrunn i Salg, Markedsføring og Relasjonsstyring. Som erfaren presentator bruker Carl disse ferdighetene profesjonelt for å hjelpe finansrådgivere til å snakke med kunder om å ta vare på det de elsker … og nå bringer disse talenter som en bordambassadør (og ofte quizmaster!) ved Hope Rescue-arrangementer. Hunder har alltid hatt et spesielt sted i Carls hjerte og familie liv. Han deler nå hjemmet sitt med to terriere, Watson og Indi, som er en reddet hund brukt av en lav velstandsavler og forlaten i dårlig helse når den ikke lenger hadde noen bruk for eieren. Denne erfaringen har gjort Carl virkelig takknemlig for det fantastiske arbeidet som Hope Rescue gjør for å sikre at hunder som Indi får en annen sjans til en kjærlig hjem. I tillegg til å være bestemmelsesmedlem ved Hope Rescue, frivilliger også Carl som leder for bestyrelsen for en liten lokal organisasjon som mentorser barn og støtter samfunnet. Tom har vært involvert i Hope Rescue siden alderen 15 hvor han frivillig arbeidet for frivillighetsorganisasjonen og bidro med fondsinnkjøp, fosterhjem og transport av hunder i samsvar med frivillighetsorganisasjonens behov, han tilsluttet seg så Hope Rescue-bestemmelsen i 2023 for å støtte driftsteamet. Tom har vært involvert i Hope Rescue siden alderen 15 hvor han frivillig arbeidet for frivillighetsorganisasjonen og bidro med fondsinnkjøp, fosterhjem og transport av hunder i samsvar med frivillighetsorganisasjonens behov, han tilsluttet seg så Hope Rescue-bestemmelsen i 2023 for å støtte driftsteamet. En passjon for dyrevelvære og trening førte Tom (han/han) til å gjennomføre en BSc (Hons) i Bio-veterinær vitenskap og en MSc i Klinisk Dyreopplevelse fra University of Lincoln. I dag jobber Tom som senior trener og adferdsviser med Storbritaniens største hundevelvåringsorganisasjon, der han støtter trenings- og adferdsgruppene over hele Sørvesten. Tom er sertifisert klinisk dyreadferdstilstand med Animal Behaviour and Training Council (Storbritannia) og sertifisert hundebehandlingskonsulent og sertifisert skolehundetilstand med International association of Animal Behaviour Consultants og medlem av undervisningsstafetten og CBATI-KA med Grisha Stewart Academy.Tom driver også 'Simplifying Shelter Behaviour', en Facebook-side og podcast dedikert til å gi oppdaterte positive treningstips og tips til skole- og reddetallpersonale og frivillige. Hundeelver Julie kommer fra Midlands, men flyttet til Cardiff i 2000 og bor med sin mann, to barn og Hope Rescue-hunden Huey i Llanishen, Cardiff. Julie har mer enn 25 års erfaring med arbeid i finansroller både i detaljhandel og produksjon og jobber nå som økonomisk kontroller i pleiebransjen. Julie er nyeste tilleggsmedlem til Hopes' bestemmelser og er spent på å bli med i teamet og bruke sine ferdigheter og erfaring for å hjelpe Hope Rescue fortsette med det fantastiske arbeidet og hjelpe så mange sårbar hunder som mulig. Ann er spent på å jobbe sammen med teamet ved Hope Rescue for å gjennomgå og utvikle deres menneske- og kulturplaner for å la teamet fortsette med det fantastiske arbeidet de gjør for å hjelpe sårbar hunder og opplære folk. Vi er glade for å velkomme Ann Rowley til bestemmelser i Hope Rescue. Ann har 20 år erfaring innen HR og driver nå sitt eget HR-konsultselskap i Sør-Wales. Ann bor sammen med sin forlovede, reddet hund Nigel, og to katter (en av dem tok del i fotograferingen). Hun har alltid hatt hunder i livet hennes, mens hun voks opp med andre slektninger som hadde dem, men etter å ha adoptert Nigel følte hun nå første hånd positivitet og kjærlighet de bringer til livet. Nigel ble reddet etter at hans tidligere eier prøvde å bruke ham som kamp hund, mishandlet ham og klippet ørene hans. Han elsker nå å modellere forskjellige ører som hun strikker for ham. Ann er spent på å jobbe sammen med teamet ved Hope Rescue for å gjennomgå og utvikle deres menneske- og kulturplaner for å la teamet fortsette med det fantastiske arbeidet de gjør for å hjelpe sårbar hunder og opplære folk. Han har vært involvert i frivillighetsorganisasjonen i flere år som en del av Fostering Network, og han og familien hans tar nå sitt fjerde fostermal. Hope Rescue is governed by a team of dedicated Trustees who share a passion for animal welfare and a vision of a future where all dogs are treated with care, kindness and respect. Our Trustees play a vital role in providing leadership, accountability, and support to help the charity thrive. They give their time, expertise and energy to the charity on a voluntary basis and are responsible for overseeing operations and guide us towards fulfilling our mission. Each Trustee has a key role here at Hope Rescue and you can meet them all below. Sarah is excited to continue to work alongside the Hope Rescue team to review and develop the strategic plan (alongside other activities), given the growth of Hope Rescue in recent years and the challenges faced within the sector. Sarah was elected Chair of Trustees/Board for Hope Rescue in 2023 and has over 15 years’ experience in sales and marketing, currently working as a commercial manager within the Steel industry based in South Wales. Sarah is excited to continue to work alongside the Hope Rescue team to review and develop the strategic plan (alongside other activities), given the growth of Hope Rescue in recent years and the challenges faced within the sector. Sarah lives just outside Cardiff with her husband and Hope Rescue dog Murray, who is a husky cross - they enjoy walking, running and triathlons, as well as travelling. This experience has made Carl truly appreciate the incredible work that Hope Rescue do to make sure dogs like Indi have a second chance at a loving home. Carl has over 25 years of experience in financial services, with a background in Sales, Marketing and Relationship Management. As an experienced presenter, Carl uses those skills professionally to help financial advisers talk to clients about looking after what they love…and now brings these talents as a board ambassador (and occasional quizmaster!) at Hope Rescue events. Dogs have always held a special place in Carl’s heart and family life. He currently shares his home with two terriers, Watson and Indi, who is a rescue dog used by a low welfare breeder and abandoned in a poor state of health when no longer of any use to their owner. This experience has made Carl truly appreciate the incredible work that Hope Rescue do to make sure dogs like Indi have a second chance at a loving home. As well as a trustee for Hope Rescue, Carl also volunteers as a Chair of Trustees for a small local charity that mentors young adults and supports the community. Tom has been involved with Hope Rescue since the age of 15 where he volunteered for the charity helping with fundraising, fostering and transporting dogs in line with the charity's needs, he then joined the Hope Rescue Board of Trustees in 2023 to support the operations teams. A passion for animal welfare and training led Tom (he/him) to undertake a BSc (Hons) in Bio-veterinary science and a MSc in Clinical Animal Behaviour from the University of Lincoln. Currently, Tom works as a senior training and behaviour advisor with the UK’s largest canine welfare organisation, where he supports the training and behaviour teams across the Southwest. Tom is a Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (UK) and a Certified Canine Behaviour Consultant and Certified Shelter Behaviour Specialist with the International association of Animal Behaviour Consultants and a member of faculty and CBATI-KA with the Grisha Stewart Academy.Tom also runs ‘Simplifying Shelter Behaviour’ a Facebook page and podcast dedicated to bringing up to date, positive based training and behaviour tips and tricks to shelter and rescue staff and volunteers. Dog lover Julie is originally from the Midlands but moved to Cardiff in 2000 and lives with her husband, two children and Hope rescue dog, Huey, in Llanishen, Cardiff. Julie has more than 25 years experience working in finance roles both in retail and manufacturing and is currently working as a Financial Controller in the care sector. Julie is our most recent addition to Hopes’ Board of Trustees and is excited to be joining the team an bringing her skills and experience to help Hope Rescue continue doing amazing work helping as many vulnerable dogs as possible. Ann is excited to work alongside the Hope Rescue team to review and develop their People and Culture plans to enable the team to continue with the amazing work they do helping vulnerable dogs and educating people. We're delighted to welcome Ann Rowley to the Board of Trustees at Hope Rescue. Ann has 20 years’ experience in HR and currently runs her own HR consultancy based in South Wales. Ann lives with her fiancé, rescue dog Nigel, and two cats (one of which joined in the photoshoot). She has always had dogs in her life growing up with other family members having them, but after adopting Nigel has now felt first hand the positivity and love they bring to lives. Nigel was rescued after his previous owner tried to use him as a fighting dog, mistreated him, and cropped his ears. He now loves modelling different ears that she crochets for him. Ann is excited to work alongside the Hope Rescue team to review and develop their People and Culture plans to enable the team to continue with the amazing work they do helping vulnerable dogs and educating people. He has been involved with the charity for several years as part of the Fostering Network, and he and his family are currently caring for their fourth foster dog. Seeing the incredible work Hope Rescue does first-hand has made it a cause very close to his heart. We're delighted to welcome Nick Bush to the Board of Trustees at Hope Rescue. He lives in Pontyclun with his wife and three young children. He has been involved with the charity for several years as part of the Fostering Network, and he and his family are currently caring for their fourth foster dog. Professionally, he has run his own business for over 20 years, and he is looking forward to using that experience to support the charity, particularly in advising on business strategy as it continues to grow and help more dogs in need. Outside of work and fostering, he is an enthusiastic, but far from quick, runner. He is closing in on his 250th parkrun and has two London marathons and three Ironman events under his belt. But above all else, he is simply someone who loves dogs and is proud to play a small part in the amazing work Hope Rescue does.
