Hope Rescue styrs av ett engagerat bestånd av föreståndare som delar en passion för djurvälfärd och en vision om en framtid där alla hundar behandlas med omsorg, godhet och respekt. Föreståndarna spelar en avgörande roll i att ge ledarskap, ansvarslöshet och stöd så att föreningen kan blomstra. De ger sitt tid, kunskap och energi till föreningen frivilligt och är ansvariga för att övervaka verksamheten och leda oss mot att uppfylla vår mission. Varje föreståndare har en viktig roll här hos Hope Rescue och du kan träffa dem alla nedan. Sarah är glad över att fortsätta arbeta tillsammans med teamet hos Hope Rescue för att granska och utveckla den strategiska planen (tillsammans med andra aktiviteter), givet det växande hos Hope Rescue under de senaste åren och de utmaningar som finns inom sektorn. Sarah valdes till föreståndare/beställare för föreningen Hope Rescue 2023 och har mer än 15 års erfarenhet inom försäljning och marknadsföring, och arbetar för närvarande som kommersiell chefer inom stålsektorn i sydväst Wales. Sarah är glad över att fortsätta arbeta tillsammans med teamet hos Hope Rescue för att granska och utveckla den strategiska planen (tillsammans med andra aktiviteter), givet det växande hos Hope Rescue under de senaste åren och de utmaningar som finns inom sektorn. Sarah bor bara utanför Cardiff med sin make och hunden Murray från Hope Rescue, en huskykors – de njuter av promenader, lopp och triatloner samt resor. Denna erfarenhet har gjort Carl riktigt tydlig på det fantastiska arbete som Hope Rescue gör för att hundar som Indi ska få en ny chans till ett älskande hem. Carl har mer än 25 års erfarenhet inom finansiella tjänster, med bakgrund inom försäljning, marknadsföring och relationshantering. Som erfaren presentatör använder Carl dessa färdigheter professionellt för att hjälpa finansiella rådgivare att prata om att ta hand om det de älskar…och nu använder han dessa talanger som en företrädare för styrelsen (och ibland quizmaster!) vid Hope Rescue-händelser. Hundar har alltid haft en särskild plats i Carls hjärta och familjeliv. Han bor just nu med två terrierar, Watson och Indi, som är en räddad hund som användes av en låg välfärdsavkastare och försummad i dålig hälsa när den inte längre var användbar för sin ägare. Denna erfarenhet har gjort Carl riktigt tydlig på det fantastiska arbete som Hope Rescue gör för att hundar som Indi ska få en ny chans till ett älskande hem. Utöver att vara föreståndare för Hope Rescue, frivilligar Carl också som föreståndare för ett litet lokalt ideellt företag som mentorung av unga vuxna och stödjer gemenskapen. Tom har varit involverad i Hope Rescue sedan han var 15 år gammal, där han volontärarbete för föreningen genom att hjälpa till med insamling, fostermöjligheter och transport av hundar efter föreningens behov, och senare anslöt han sig till styrelsen för Hope Rescue 2023 för att stödja operationsgruppen. Tom har varit involverad i Hope Rescue sedan han var 15 år gammal, där han volontärarbete för föreningen genom att hjälpa till med insamling, fostermöjligheter och transport av hundar efter föreningens behov, och senare anslöt han sig till styrelsen för Hope Rescue 2023 för att stödja operationsgruppen. En passion för djurvälfärd och träningsutbildning ledde Tom (han/hom) till att ta en BSc (Hons) i Bio-veterinärvetenskap och en MSc i Klinisk Djurbeteende från University of Lincoln. För närvarande arbetar Tom som senior tränings- och beteendemästare med Storbritanniens största hundväljeförening, där han stödjer tränings- och beteendegrupperna i södra väst. Tom är Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist med Animal Behaviour and Training Council (UK) och Certified Canine Behaviour Consultant och Certified Shelter Behaviour Specialist med International association of Animal Behaviour Consultants och är medlem av fakulteten och CBATI-KA med Grisha Stewart Academy. Tom driver också "Simplifying Shelter Behaviour", en Facebook-sida och podcast dedikerad till att leverera aktuella, positiva tränings- och beteendetips och tricks till personal och frivilliga inom skyddshem och räddningsorganisationer. Hundsällska Julie kommer från Midlands men flyttade till Cardiff 2000 och bor med sin man, två barn och hunden Huey från Hope Rescue i Llanishen, Cardiff. Julie har mer än 25 års erfarenhet av arbete inom finansrollen både inom detaljhandel och tillverkning och arbetar just nu som finansiell kontrollerare inom vårdsektorn. Julie är vår senaste anmälan till styrelsen för Hope Rescue och är glad över att gå med i teamet och använda sina färdigheter och erfarenheter för att hjälpa Hope Rescue fortsätta med fantastiskt arbete för så många sårbara hundar som möjligt. Ann är glad över att arbeta tillsammans med teamet hos Hope Rescue för att granska och utveckla deras people and culture-planer för att möjliggöra att teamet kan fortsätta med det fantastiska arbetet de gör för att hjälpa sårbara hundar och utbilda personer. Vi är glada att välkomna Ann Rowley till styrelsen hos Hope Rescue. Ann har 20 års erfarenhet inom HR och driver just nu sin egen HR-konsultfirma i sydväst Wales. Hon bor med sin brud, räddad hund Nigel, och två katter (en av dem blev med i fotograferingen). Hon har alltid haft hundar i sitt liv, uppvuxen med andra familjemedlemmar som hade dem, men efter att adoptera Nigel har hon nu själv känt den positiva och älskande effekten de har på livet. Nigel räddades efter att hans tidigare ägare försökte använda honom som kämpahund, misshandlade honom och klippte av hans öron. Han älskar nu att modelera olika öron som hon stickar till honom. Ann är glad över att arbeta tillsammans med teamet hos Hope Rescue för att granska och utveckla deras people and culture-planer för att möjliggöra att teamet kan fortsätta med det fantastiska arbetet de gör för att hjälpa sårbara hundar och utbilda personer. Han har varit med i föreningen i flera år som en del av Fosternätverket, och han och hans familj är just nu på väg att ta emot sin fjärde fosterhund. Att se det fantastiska arbetet som Hope Rescue gör med egna ögon har gjort det till ett mycket nära hjärta. Vi är glada att välkomna Nick Bush till styrelsen hos Hope Rescue. Han bor i Pontyclun med sin fru och tre små barn. Han har varit med i föreningen i flera år som en del av Fosternätverket, och han och hans familj är just nu på väg att ta emot sin fjärde fosterhund. Att se det fantastiska arbetet som Hope Rescue gör med egna ögon har gjort det till ett mycket nära hjärta. Hope Rescue is governed by a team of dedicated Trustees who share a passion for animal welfare and a vision of a future where all dogs are treated with care, kindness and respect. Our Trustees play a vital role in providing leadership, accountability, and support to help the charity thrive. They give their time, expertise and energy to the charity on a voluntary basis and are responsible for overseeing operations and guide us towards fulfilling our mission. Each Trustee has a key role here at Hope Rescue and you can meet them all below. Sarah is excited to continue to work alongside the Hope Rescue team to review and develop the strategic plan (alongside other activities), given the growth of Hope Rescue in recent years and the challenges faced within the sector. Sarah was elected Chair of Trustees/Board for Hope Rescue in 2023 and has over 15 years’ experience in sales and marketing, currently working as a commercial manager within the Steel industry based in South Wales. Sarah is excited to continue to work alongside the Hope Rescue team to review and develop the strategic plan (alongside other activities), given the growth of Hope Rescue in recent years and the challenges faced within the sector. Sarah lives just outside Cardiff with her husband and Hope Rescue dog Murray, who is a husky cross - they enjoy walking, running and triathlons, as well as travelling. This experience has made Carl truly appreciate the incredible work that Hope Rescue do to make sure dogs like Indi have a second chance at a loving home. Carl has over 25 years of experience in financial services, with a background in Sales, Marketing and Relationship Management. As an experienced presenter, Carl uses those skills professionally to help financial advisers talk to clients about looking after what they love…and now brings these talents as a board ambassador (and occasional quizmaster!) at Hope Rescue events. Dogs have always held a special place in Carl’s heart and family life. He currently shares his home with two terriers, Watson and Indi, who is a rescue dog used by a low welfare breeder and abandoned in a poor state of health when no longer of any use to their owner. This experience has made Carl truly appreciate the incredible work that Hope Rescue do to make sure dogs like Indi have a second chance at a loving home. As well as a trustee for Hope Rescue, Carl also volunteers as a Chair of Trustees for a small local charity that mentors young adults and supports the community. Tom has been involved with Hope Rescue since the age of 15 where he volunteered for the charity helping with fundraising, fostering and transporting dogs in line with the charity's needs, he then joined the Hope Rescue Board of Trustees in 2023 to support the operations teams. Dog lover Julie is originally from the Midlands but moved to Cardiff in 2000 and lives with her husband, two children and Hope rescue dog, Huey, in Llanishen, Cardiff. Julie has more than 25 years experience working in finance roles both in retail and manufacturing and is currently working as a Financial Controller in the care sector. Julie is our most recent addition to Hopes’ Board of Trustees and is excited to be joining the team an bringing her skills and experience to help Hope Rescue continue doing amazing work helping as many vulnerable dogs as possible. Ann is excited to work alongside the Hope Rescue team to review and develop their People and Culture plans to enable the team to continue with the amazing work they do helping vulnerable dogs and educating people. We're delighted to welcome Ann Rowley to the Board of Trustees at Hope Rescue. Ann has 20 years’ experience in HR and currently runs her own HR consultancy based in South Wales. Ann lives with her fiancé, rescue dog Nigel, and two cats (one of which joined in the photoshoot). She has always had dogs in her life growing up with other family members having them, but after adopting Nigel has now felt first hand the positivity and love they bring to lives. Nigel was rescued after his previous owner tried to use him as a fighting dog, mistreated him, and cropped his ears. He now loves modelling different ears that she crochets for him. Ann is excited to work alongside the Hope Rescue team to review and develop their People and Culture plans to enable the team to continue with the amazing work they do helping vulnerable dogs and educating people. He has been involved with the charity for several years as part of the Fostering Network, and he and his family are currently caring for their fourth foster dog. Seeing the incredible work Hope Rescue does first-hand has made it a cause very close to his heart. We're delighted to welcome Nick Bush to the Board of Trustees at Hope Rescue. He lives in Pontyclun with his wife and three young children. He has been involved with the charity for several years as part of the Fostering Network, and he and his family are currently caring for their fourth foster dog. Seeing the incredible work Hope Rescue does first-hand has made it a cause very close to his heart. Professionally, he has run his own business for over 20 years, and he is looking forward to using that experience to support the charity, particularly in advising on business strategy as it continues to grow and help more dogs in need. Outside of work and fostering, he is an enthusiastic, but far from quick, runner. He is closing in on his 250th parkrun and has two London marathons and three Ironman events under his belt. But above all else, he is simply someone who loves dogs and is proud to play a small part in the amazing work Hope Rescue does.
