Britney to średniego rozmiaru, typowy krzyżówka labradora w wieku około 3 lat. Poznaliśmy Britney i jej matkę oraz siostrę podczas wizyty w publicznym schronisku Botosani w Rumunii na początku października ubiegłego roku. Wszystkie trzy przybyły do Wielkiej Brytanii, aby zacząć nowe życie daleko od strasznych warunków w schronisku, a matka i siostra są teraz szczęśliwie zamieszkałe w swoich domach na zawsze. Britney to przyjazna i czuła dziewczynka, która początkowo jest podporządkowana i lękliwa wobec rąk, ale gdy się oswoi, jest bardzo miła i lubi uwagę i objęcia. Britney potrzebuje obecności psa(ów) w nowym domu. Może również być w porządku z pewnymi kotami i szanującymi dzieci w wieku 8 lat i więcej. Britney była opiekunką w Marlborough Wilshire. To utrzyma Twojego psa bezpiecznie: Twój nowy pies będzie niepewny i nie będzie Ci ufał, i nie będziesz wiedział, jakie sytuacje mogą zdenerwować Twojego psa. Jeśli Twój pies zapaniczuje, to pasek to jedyny sposób na uniknięcie ucieczki psa (wiele psów może uciec z kołnierza i/lub plecaka). Potrzeba co najmniej 3-6 miesięcy, by pies się uporządkował i byś poznał swojego psa w pełni (dłużej dla niepewnych psów). Pasek musi być zawsze stosowany w czasie okresu adaptacji. Nawet po tym, gdy pies się uporządkował, najlepiej jest używać paska w sytuacjach, w których pies może się przestraszyć (np. odwiedzanie nowych miejsc, w pobliżu nieznanych ludzi, u weterynarza), oraz w sytuacjach, gdzie mogą wystąpić niespodziewane bodźce (np. wokół imprezy ogrodowej). Britney is a medium, sized, lab-type crossbreed of around 3 years old. We met Britney and her mum and sister when we visited the Botosani public shelter in Romania at the beginning of October last year. All three travelled to the UK to start a new life away from the horrors of the shelter, and both mum and sister are now happily living in their forever homes. Britney is a friendly and affectionate girl who is submissive and hand-shy at first, but once she is settled she is extremely sweet and loves a fuss and a cuddle. Britney will need a resident dog(s) in her new home. She would also be ok with confident cats and respectful children aged eight and over. Britney fostered in Marlborough Wilshire. If you are interested please message or call between 9am to 5pm Mon – Fri or 9am to 4pm Sat. . Adoption Donation Fees From 1st Dec 2025 are Puppies already neutered and all adult dogs: £430. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Policy When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a crate. Fences and gates must be 5ft min & secure.
