Britney è un incrocio di taglia media, simile al labrador, di circa 3 anni. Abbiamo conosciuto Britney e sua madre e sorella quando abbiamo visitato il rifugio pubblico di Botosani in Romania all'inizio di ottobre dello scorso anno. Tutte e tre sono andate nel Regno Unito per iniziare una nuova vita lontano dagli orrori del rifugio, e sia la madre che la sorella vivono ora felicemente in casa loro per sempre. Britney è una ragazza amichevole e affettuosa che inizialmente è sottomessa e timida con le mani, ma una volta che si è stabilita è estremamente dolce e adora attenzioni e abbracci. Britney avrà bisogno di un cane (o cani) residente nella sua nuova casa. Sarebbe anche d'accordo con gatti sicuri e bambini rispettosi di età pari o superiore agli otto anni. Britney è stata accolta a Marlborough Wilshire. Se sei interessato, invia un messaggio o chiama tra le 9:00 e le 17:00 da lunedì a venerdì o tra le 9:00 e le 16:00 sabato. Tariffe per l'adozione Dal 1° dicembre 2025 i cuccioli già castrati e tutti i cani adulti: £430. Cuccioli non castrati con contratto di castrazione: £530 (riceverai un rimborso di £100 una volta che ci invierai la prova della castrazione). Cani anziani (10+ anni): £150–£250 (in base all'età e alle esigenze individuali). Politica di adozione Quando adotti un cane di Safe Rescue, DEVI utilizzare una guinzaglio a scorrimento. Questo terrà il tuo cane al sicuro: il tuo nuovo cane sarà nervoso e non ti farà fiducia, e non saprai quali situazioni potrebbero turbare il tuo cane. Se il tuo cane si spaventa, allora un guinzaglio a scorrimento è l'unica via per evitare che scappi (molti cani possono fuggire dal collare e/o dalla pettorina). Ci vorranno ALMENO 3-6 mesi per far adattare il tuo cane e conoscere pienamente il tuo cane (più a lungo per i cani nervosi). Il guinzaglio a scorrimento deve essere SEMPRE utilizzato durante questo periodo di adattamento. Anche dopo che il tuo cane si è adattato, è più sicuro utilizzare il guinzaglio a scorrimento in situazioni in cui il tuo cane potrebbe spaventarsi (ad esempio visitando luoghi nuovi, intorno a persone sconosciute, dal veterinario), e in situazioni in cui potrebbero verificarsi trigger imprevedibili (ad esempio intorno al 5 novembre). I cani nervosi potrebbero necessitare sempre di indossare un guinzaglio a scorrimento come misura di sicurezza aggiuntiva. Il guinzaglio a scorrimento è un dispositivo di sicurezza e mai utilizzato come strumento di addestramento. Utilizzare il guinzaglio per applicare pressione al collo del cane è dannoso. Se il tuo cane tira il guinzaglio, possiamo consigliarti metodi di addestramento che evitino danni. Una volta che il tuo cane si è adattato, potresti considerare di usare una pettorina (insieme al guinzaglio a scorrimento) se il cane è abituato a essere toccato quando è fissata. Britney is a medium, sized, lab-type crossbreed of around 3 years old. We met Britney and her mum and sister when we visited the Botosani public shelter in Romania at the beginning of October last year. All three travelled to the UK to start a new life away from the horrors of the shelter, and both mum and sister are now happily living in their forever homes. Britney is a friendly and affectionate girl who is submissive and hand-shy at first, but once she is settled she is extremely sweet and loves a fuss and a cuddle. Britney will need a resident dog(s) in her new home. She would also be ok with confident cats and respectful children aged eight and over. Britney fostered in Marlborough Wilshire. If you are interested please message or call between 9am to 5pm Mon – Fri or 9am to 4pm Sat. . Adoption Donation Fees From 1st Dec 2025 are Puppies already neutered and all adult dogs: £430. Un-neutered puppies on spay/neuter contracts: £530 (You will receive a £100 rebate once you send us proof of neutering). Senior dogs (10+ years): £150–£250 (depending on age and individual needs). Adoption Policy When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer. Retractable / extendable leads must never be used on our dogs. Adopted dogs must be collected from the rescue and transported straight home in a crate. Fences and gates must be 5ft min & secure.
