Lucia trafiła do nas w złym stanie, głodna, z uszkodzonym uchem od dawna i w ostatnich momentach ciąży. Jak tylko doznała następnego dnia po swoim przybyciu, że jest bezpieczna i wszyscy wokół niej są miłą, poczuła się wystarczająco bezpiecznie, aby zacząć poród. Poród nie był łatwy i musiała zostać przeniesiona do szpitala ratunkowego SOS Málaga, gdzie urodzono pozostałe żyjące pupile, a usunięto zakażony macierzy. Została również zdiagnozowana jako dodatnia na medyterranowską chorobę leishmaniozę i to musi zostać najpierw leczone, zanim jej nogę zostanie operowana, ale wkrótce Lucia otrzyma operację, aby poprawić jej prawą tylną łapę. Ona sama nie bardzo dba o to, jest bardzo wesoła i lubi być w pobliżu ludzi. Jest wolnym duszą i uwielbia chodzić po naturze. Lucia naprawdę to biegacz – szybki, ciekawy i szczęśliwy, gdy ma szansę na wyprawę, więc Lucia szuka dobrze ogrodzony dom, jeśli to dom, lub mieszkanie z ogrodem. Lubi być na zewnątrz. Preferuje 4–5 krótkie spacery (po 10 minut) zamiast dłuższych, szczególnie z powodu jej nogi. Faktycznie ceni spacer szybciej – pomaga jej nogi, gdy może trochę skakać. Przechodzi szybko z taką radością. W tym samym czasie Lucia potrzebuje też dużo odpoczynku – dla jej nogi, dla jej przeszłej traumy, jest bardzo wdzięczna za ciszy, gdzie nie ma nic do zrobienia, i nikt nie oczekuje od niej niczego. Zakręca się we wszystkich zakątkach, delikatnie macha ogonem i zapada w najgłębszy sen. Lucia lubi spać z małą lampą włączoną, bo się trochę obawia całkowitego ciemności. Spoczywa bardzo spokojnie sama, a potem przychodzi przytulić się do ciebie w łóżku rano. Lucia bardzo kocha dzieci, gdy widzi dzieci, sieje się, skacze i całuje je, a potem spokojnie się z nimi przebywa, towarzyszy im i przytula. Zachowuje się jak miła mama także z ludzkimi dziećmi. Lucia ma pewne przeszłe urazy, bo boi się, że będzie bić z ruchomymi rękami, lub z przedmiotów domowych, jak garnery czy wodociąg. Boi się również oddychać w ogródku i w tej chwili robi swoje mocz tylko podczas spacerów, jakby bała się kary. Nie boi się wcale niczego, co robi dziecko opiekuńczego domu – on może krzyczeć, rzucać zabawkami, biegać wokół i Lucia nie boi się niczego związane z dzieckiem. Lucia byłaby najszczęśliwsza w domu z innymi miłymi społecznymi psami, mężczyznami lub kobietami, nie ma znaczenia. Jest grzeczna, społeczna, a gdy jej przyjaciele psy są daleko, jest trochę bardziej niepewna. Lucia opiera się na innych psach o wsparcie. Polubiłby dom, gdzie ludzie spędzają większość czasu razem z swoim psem. Lucia to grzeczny i miły pies, bardzo miły duch, i doświadczyła traumy w życiu, ponieważ gdy ktoś zbliża się do niej zbyt szybko, zbyt mocno, natychmiast lei na ziemię, uczyni się małą. Lucia arrived to us in a bad state, starved, with broken leg from long time ago, and in the last moments of pregnancy. As soon as she realised by the next day after her arrival, that she is safe and everyone around her is kind, she felt secure enough to start labor. Her labor was not easy and she had to be rushed to the emergency clinic in SOS Malaga where the remaining living babies were delivered and her infected uterus was removed. She was also diagnosed to be positive in the Mediterranean condition Leishmaniosis and that needs to be treated first before her leg can be operated, but soon Lucia will have an operation to improve her back right paw. She doesn't really care about it herself, she is very cheerful and loves to be around people. She is a free soul and loves to wandering around in the nature. Lucia really is a runner—she’s fast, curious, and happy when she has a chance to go for an adventure, so Lucia is looking for a securely fenced home if it’s a house, or an aparment with a garden. She loves being outdoors. Lucia has the luck of being in a foster home, to experience love and peace. Walks are her absolute favorite thing in the world. She prefers 4–5 short walks (10 minutes each) over longer ones, especially because of her leg. She actually enjoys walking faster—it helps her leg when she gets to jump a bit. She power-walks so happily. At the same time, Lucia also needs a lot of rest - for her leg, for her past trauma, she is very thankful for quiet time where she has nothing to do, and noone expects anything from her. She curls up in every corner, waves her tail gently, and falls into the deepest sleep. Lucia likes to sleep with a little light on, she gets a bit scared of total darkness. She sleeps very peacefully alone and then comes to cuddle you in your bed in the morning. Lucia really loves children, when she sees children, she wiggles, jumps and kisses them, and then stays calms around them, accompanies and cuddles them. She behaves like a kind mother also with human children. Lucia does have some past trauma, she is afraid of being beaten with gast moving hands, or with household items, like pans or a water hose. She is also afraid of peeing in the garden and at the moment she only makes her pees during the walks, as if she is afraid of punishment. What she is not afraid of at all, is anything that the child of the foster home is doing - he can shout, throw toys, run around and Lucia is not afraid of anything associated with the child at all. Lucia would be happiest in a home with other kind social dogs, male or female, doesn’t matter. She is a playful, social dog and when her dog friends are gone, she is a bit more anxious, Lucia leans on other dogs for support. She would also love a home where her humans are spending most of their time together with their dog. Lucia is a kind and loving dog, a very soft soul, and she has experienced trauma in her life before, as when you approach her too rapidly, too strongly, she lays on the ground right away, making herself small. Lucia is looking for a pair of caring hands, who will spend the rest of her life with her, taking nice walks together in the nature and cuddling on the carpet in the evenings. Lucia's approximate shoulder height is 49cm.
