Lucia hozzánk jött egy rossz állapotban, éhen és szomjúhalt, törött lábbal régóta, és a szülés utolsó pillanataiban. Amint rájött a második napon, hogy biztonságban van, és minden körülötte barátságos, elég biztos lett ahhoz, hogy elkezdje a szülést. A szülés nem volt könnyű, és azonnal a sürgősségi klinikára kellett vinni SOS Málaga, ahol a megmaradt élve született kisbárányokat szülte, és eltávolították a fertőzött méhét. Továbbá pozitív eredménnyel diagnosztizálták a mediterrán betegséget, a leishmaniózist, amit először kezelni kell, mielőtt műtétre kerülne a lába, de hamarosan Lucia műtétre kerül a hátsó jobb lábával. Nem igazán érdekelte őt maga, nagyon vidám és szeret társaságot lenni. Szabadságra szomjas és szeret a természetben kószálni. Lucia valódi futó – gyors, kíváncsi, és boldog, ha esélye van egy kalandra, ezért Lucia egy biztosan kerített otthonra vár, ha ház, vagy lakás kerttel. Szereti a nyílt teret. Lucka szerencsés, hogy gondozói otthonban van, hogy szeretetet és békét tapasztaljon. Séták a legnagyobb kedvenc dolga a világban. Szeret 4-5 rövid sétát (10 percenként) hosszabb helyett, különösen a lába miatt. Valójában gyorsabban sétál – segít a lábának, ha kicsit ugrani tud. Folyamatosan sétál olyan boldogan. Ugyanakkor Lucia nagy pihenésre is szüksége van – a lába miatt, a múltbeli traumája miatt, nagyon hálás a csendes időre, ahol semmit sem csinál, és senki sem vár semmit tőle. Egyedül minden sarkba gömbölyödik, puha farkat ráz, és mély álomba merül. Lucia szeret egy kis fényt alsónak, kissé félelmetes a teljes sötétség. Egyedül nyugodtan alszik, majd reggel feljön örömmel, hogy ágyadba bújjon. Lucia nagyon szereti a gyerekeket, amikor látja őket, mozgolódik, ugrál és csókolja őket, majd nyugalomban marad körülöttük, kíséri és simogatja őket. Úgy viselkedik, mint egy jó anya emberi gyerekeknél is. Lucia némi múltbeli trauma miatt retteg a két kéz mozgásától, vagy háztartási tárgyaktól, például serpenyőktől vagy vízcsőtől. Lucia arrived to us in a bad state, starved, with broken leg from long time ago, and in the last moments of pregnancy. As soon as she realised by the next day after her arrival, that she is safe and everyone around her is kind, she felt secure enough to start labor. Her labor was not easy and she had to be rushed to the emergency clinic in SOS Malaga where the remaining living babies were delivered and her infected uterus was removed. She was also diagnosed to be positive in the Mediterranean condition Leishmaniosis and that needs to be treated first before her leg can be operated, but soon Lucia will have an operation to improve her back right paw. She doesn't really care about it herself, she is very cheerful and loves to be around people. She is a free soul and loves to wandering around in the nature. Lucia really is a runner—she’s fast, curious, and happy when she has a chance to go for an adventure, so Lucia is looking for a securely fenced home if it’s a house, or an aparment with a garden. She loves being outdoors. Lucia has the luck of being in a foster home, to experience love and peace. Walks are her absolute favorite thing in the world. She prefers 4–5 short walks (10 minutes each) over longer ones, especially because of her leg. She actually enjoys walking faster—it helps her leg when she gets to jump a bit. She power-walks so happily. At the same time, Lucia also needs a lot of rest - for her leg, for her past trauma, she is very thankful for quiet time where she has nothing to do, and noone expects anything from her. She curls up in every corner, waves her tail gently, and falls into the deepest sleep. Lucia likes to sleep with a little light on, she gets a bit scared of total darkness. She sleeps very peacefully alone and then comes to cuddle you in your bed in the morning. Lucia really loves children, when she sees children, she wiggles, jumps and kisses them, and then stays calms around them, accompanies and cuddles them. She behaves like a kind mother also with human children. Lucia does have some past trauma, she is afraid of being beaten with gast moving hands, or with household items, like pans or a water hose. She is also afraid of peeing in the garden and at the moment she only makes her pees during the walks, as if she is afraid of punishment. What she is not afraid of at all, is anything that the child of the foster home is doing - he can shout, throw toys, run around and Lucia is not afraid of anything associated with the child at all. Lucia would be happiest in a home with other kind social dogs, male or female, doesn’t matter. She is a playful, social dog and when her dog friends are gone, she is a bit more anxious, Lucia leans on other dogs for support. She would also love a home where her humans are spending most of their time together with their dog. Lucia is a kind and loving dog, a very soft soul, and she has experienced trauma in her life before, as when you approach her too rapidly, too strongly, she lays on the ground right away, making herself small. Lucia is looking for a pair of caring hands, who will spend the rest of her life with her, taking nice walks together in the nature and cuddling on the carpet in the evenings. Lucia's approximate shoulder height is 49cm.
