Princesa Nella jest panią fincy! Princesa Nella jest panią fincy! Ta mała, słodka klacz jest najlepszą przyjaciółką naszego uroczego Fantasma. Żyje w luksusie, ale nie zawsze było to dla niej takie proste – wręcz przeciwnie. Kiedy Nella do nas trafiła, ledwo stała na nogach. Kości przebijały jej skórę w okolicach bioder i nóg, które były wygięte we wszystkich kierunkach. Ta biedna dziewczynka cierpi na nadmierną ruchliwość, uszkodzenia ścięgien, a w stanie, w jakim przybyła, bardzo ciężko jej było dobrze kontrolować ruchy nóg. Często wpadała, co powodowało kolejne otarcia i zadrapania; brak siły oraz degeneracja mięśni tylko pogarszały sytuację. Wcześniej karmiono ją słomą i surowymi ziemniakami, ledwo utrzymując ją przy życiu. Nie spodziewaliśmy się, że odzyska tak ogromnie i że stanie się tak pełną życia, zdeterminowaną i samodzielną klaczą, jaką jest dziś. Nella jest jednym z naszych pierwszych podopiecznych, naszą pierwszą konia, która przeszła wyraźną, olbrzymią transformację jeszcze przed tym, jak byliśmy na bieżąco z technologią, blogowaniem/vlogowaniem i dokumentowaniem wszystkiego, co robimy. Smutno nam, że nie mamy jej wcześniejszych zdjęć, by porównać jej drastyczne zmiany przez lata, które była z nami. Ale możemy powiedzieć, że ta przemiana jest naprawdę niesamowita. Może nie jest typową konia wystawowym, o prawidłowej konstytucji i płynnych krokach – z trudem utrzymuje muskulaturę, a jej górna linia ciała zawsze pozostaje niedoskonała. Ale jest tam, gdzie miała być, a jej ciało samo o nią dba. Nie szkodzi, że często w niewłaściwym świetle przypomina wielbłąda ze względu na ogromny garb. Jest szczęśliwa, zdrowa i kochana przez wszystkich. Princesa Nella jest naprawdę piękna zarówno od środka, jak i od zewnątrz. Nadal współpracujemy ze wszystkimi weterynarzami, by sprawdzić, czy uda się poprawić stan Nelli innymi możliwościami.

Princess Nella is the lady of the finca!Princess Nella is the lady of the finca! This little sweet mare is best friends with our lovely Fantasma. She has a life of luxury, but it has not always been this way for her – far from it. When Nella came to us, she was barely able to stand. She had bones bursting her skin at the hips and legs that bowed in every direction. This poor girl has hyper mobility, tendon damage and, with the condition she arrived in, it was very hard for her to control the movements of her legs well. Often resulting in her tripping over and causing more bumps and scratches, her lack of strength and muscle deterioration only adding to the situation. She was previously fed on straw and raw potatoes, barely keeping her alive. We didn't expect her to have such a huge recovery and be the thriving, determined, opinionated horse that she is today. Nella is one of our early rescues, our first horse with an obvious huge transformation before we were up to date with technology, blogging/vlogging and recording everything as we do it. We are sad that we have no early photos of her to compare her drastic changes over the years she has been with us. But we can tell you the transformation is pretty incredible. She may not be your typical show standard horse with correct confirmation and flowing gaits, she struggles to keep on muscle and her top line is always lacking. But she is where she was meant to be and her body looks after her, it doesn’t matter that she often resembles a camel in the wrong light, due to her huge withers. She is happy, healthy and loved by all. Princess Nella is truly beautiful inside and out. We are continuing to work with all vets to see if we can improve Nella's condition with any other options.
