Principessa Nella è la signora della finca! Principessa Nella è la signora della finca! Questa piccola dolce cavalla è la migliore amica della nostra adorabile Fantasma. Ha una vita di lusso, ma non è sempre stato così per lei - tutt'altro. Quando Nella è arrivata da noi, riusciva a malapena a stare in piedi. Aveva le ossa che le sporgevano dalla pelle ai fianchi e gambe che si piegavano in ogni direzione. Questa povera ragazza ha iper mobilità, danni ai tendini e, con la condizione in cui è arrivata, era molto difficile per lei controllare bene i movimenti delle gambe. Spesso finiva per inciampare e causare altri urti e graffi, la sua mancanza di forza e la degenerazione muscolare non facevano che peggiorare la situazione. Prima veniva nutrita con paglia e patate crude, a malapena riusciva a sopravvivere. Non ci aspettavamo che avesse una ripresa così grande e che diventasse la cavalla fiorente, determinata e testarda che è oggi. Nella è uno dei nostri primi salvataggi, il nostro primo cavallo con una trasformazione evidente prima che fossimo aggiornati con la tecnologia, il blogging/vlogging e la registrazione di tutto ciò che facciamo. Siamo tristi di non avere foto iniziali di lei per confrontare i suoi drastici cambiamenti nel corso degli anni che è stata con noi. Ma possiamo dirvi che la trasformazione è piuttosto incredibile. Potrebbe non essere il tipico cavallo da esposizione con una conformazione corretta e andature fluide, fatica a mantenere la muscolatura e la sua linea superiore è sempre carente. Ma è dove doveva essere e il suo corpo si prende cura di lei, non importa che spesso assomigli a un cammello nella luce sbagliata, a causa dei suoi enormi garretti. È felice, sana e amata da tutti. Principessa Nella è davvero bella dentro e fuori. Continuiamo a lavorare con tutti i veterinari per vedere se possiamo migliorare le condizioni di Nella con altre opzioni.

Princess Nella is the lady of the finca!Princess Nella is the lady of the finca! This little sweet mare is best friends with our lovely Fantasma. She has a life of luxury, but it has not always been this way for her – far from it. When Nella came to us, she was barely able to stand. She had bones bursting her skin at the hips and legs that bowed in every direction. This poor girl has hyper mobility, tendon damage and, with the condition she arrived in, it was very hard for her to control the movements of her legs well. Often resulting in her tripping over and causing more bumps and scratches, her lack of strength and muscle deterioration only adding to the situation. She was previously fed on straw and raw potatoes, barely keeping her alive. We didn't expect her to have such a huge recovery and be the thriving, determined, opinionated horse that she is today. Nella is one of our early rescues, our first horse with an obvious huge transformation before we were up to date with technology, blogging/vlogging and recording everything as we do it. We are sad that we have no early photos of her to compare her drastic changes over the years she has been with us. But we can tell you the transformation is pretty incredible. She may not be your typical show standard horse with correct confirmation and flowing gaits, she struggles to keep on muscle and her top line is always lacking. But she is where she was meant to be and her body looks after her, it doesn’t matter that she often resembles a camel in the wrong light, due to her huge withers. She is happy, healthy and loved by all. Princess Nella is truly beautiful inside and out. We are continuing to work with all vets to see if we can improve Nella's condition with any other options.
