Neroni został odwieziony z domu i mieliśmy polecenie, by nie zwracać go do poprzedniego właściciela. Nie otrzymaliśmy zbyt wielu szczegółów i nie wiedzieliśmy dlaczego, ponieważ Neroni sam był w doskonałym stanie wagi, dobrym stanie fizycznym i życzliwy, ale wydaje się, że trzymano go na tarasie, bez spacerów. Niestety nie znamy szczegółów. Co wiemy jednak, to że Neroni stracił dużo wagi w ostatnich miesiącach i naprawdę cierpi w schronisku, bardzo bardzo. Jest bardzo smutny, ponieważ jest zamknięty w małym pomieszczeniu, bez bliskości ludzkiej, i bardzo potrzebuje opieki i ciepła. Natychmiast zakochuje się w wolontariuszach, którzy wyprowadzają go z klatki, a w jego oczach widać coś bardzo bolesnego – patrzy na ludzi, którzy wyprowadzają go na spacer, jak teraz, natychmiast gotowy, żeby opuścić schronisko razem z tą osobą i nigdy nie wrócić. Patrzy na Ciebie tak, jakby sprawdzał: „Ty jesteś człowiekiem, którego kocham, prawda?”. Neroni może być bardzo duży fizycznie, ale w środku ma delikatne serce, przytula się do Twojej nogi, szukając bliskości i ciepła. To bardzo przyjemny pies, który lubi mieć człowieka, który ceni bliskość fizyczną. Teraz, ponieważ stracił wiele wagi z powodu stresu w schronisku, jest bardzo zainteresowany jedzeniem i skupia się na przekąskach, więc łatwo przyciągnąć jego uwagę i pracować z nim. Neroni to pies, który będzie 100% lojalny, poświęcony i skupiony na swoim człowieku. Myślmy, że może też mieć lub rozwinąć pewną niepewność podczas separacji, biorąc pod uwagę jego przeszłość oraz obecne cierpienie w schronisku, więc idealnym człowiekiem dla niego będzie ten, który będzie pracował z nim, by rozwijać zaufanie i pewność siebie, aby mógł również zostać sam w domu. Zgodnie z rasą jest oczywiście inteligentnym psem, a proste ćwiczenia takie jak siedź, tu, chodź itp. są dla niego bardzo łatwe. Byłby bardzo szczęśliwy z człowiekiem, który interesuje się jakąkolwiek formą treningu z nim – proste figle, trochę dyscypliny, troche agilności – to sprawiłoby mu wielką radość i pozwoliłoby mu kierować swoją energię w dobre kierunki. Jest sportowym oczywiście, ale nie nadmiernie fizycznie wymagającym, także z uwagi na jego wiek. Neroni lubi biegać po placu dla psów, pod warunkiem, że człowiek będzie z nim. Niezależnie od jego wielkości nie jest naglący wcale – nie skacze na Ciebie ani nie wpycha Cię, gdy biegnie. Jest szanujący i uważny wobec ludzi, co jest naprawdę świetne i pozwala mniejszemu człowiekowi czuć się komfortowo wobec Neronia. Gdy pierwszy raz wychodzi z klatki, po tym, jak był zamknięty sam przez 23 godziny, jest zmieszany i może być na wszystko, ale jak tylko opuści stres ze schroniska, chodzi świetnie na smyczy, szczególnie na długiej smyczy, nasila i odkrywa teren, ale zawsze bardzo blisko Ciebie. Lubisz też grać w wodzie i cieszy się dużymi kałużami po deszczu! W pierwszy dzień po wyjściu ze schroniska zauważyliśmy, że jest trochę niepewny nowych sytuacji i doświadczeń (co ma sens, jeśli trzymano go na tarasie), na przykład głośne dźwięki ciężarówek sprawiają mu niepewność, więc spokojne otoczenie z powtarzalnym harmonogramem dziennym byłoby dla niego świetne. Neroni nie ma problemów z przechodzeniem schodów, podróżowaniem samochodem, nie reagował na biegaczy, zwykłe samochody, rowery – życie w małym mieście sprawiłoby mu dobrze! Podczas drugiego wyjścia z schroniska był już bardziej uspokojony – siedział bardzo dobrze w tylnym rzędzie samochodu, chodził bardzo dobrze na smyczy, reagował na polecenia. To naprawdę bardzo dobry pies, który lubi przytulanki, jest łagodny i przyjazny. Neroni jest w porządku z innymi psami, ale nie jest ofiarą ani podporządkowanym psem, gdy inny pies go prowokuje albo zagroża, to odpowiada. Jednak nie inicjuje napięć z własnej inicjatywy, według naszych doświadczeń w schronisku. Najprawdopodobniej będzie najszczęśliwszy jako jedyny pies, a całkowity skupisku swojego człowieka, ale możliwe, że mógłby dołączyć do domu z równoważnym, społecznym samiakiem lub nawet samcem, to zostanie sprawdzone przy zgłoszeniach. Neroni was removed from a home and we were instructed not to give him back to the previous owner anymore. We did not receive too many details and we were not sure why, as Neroni himself was in perfect weight, good physical state, and cheerful, but apparently he was being kept on the terrace, without going for walks. Unfortunately we do not know the details. What we do know however, is that Neroni has lost a lot of weight in the previous months and is really suffering in the shelter, very much so. He is immensely sad to be locked up in a small room, without human closeness, and he really is very desperate for human affection. He directly falls in love with volunteers who take him out of his kennel, and you can see something so heartbreaking in his eyes - he looks at humans who takes in for a walk, like he is right now, immediately, ready to leave the shelter by this person's side, and never come back again. He is looking at you like he's just checking, "You are the human I will love, right?". Neroni might be a very big boy physically, but he is just a tender soul inside, curling up to your side, looking for closeness and warmth. He is a really cuddly boy, and would love to have a human, who enjoys physical closeness. Now that he has lost a lot of weight from stress in the shelter, he is very food motivated and concentrated on snacks, so it is easy to get his attention and to work with him. Neroni is the kind of dog that will a 1000% be loyal, dedicated and focused on his human. We think he might also potentially have or develop some separation stress, considering his past and also now his suffering in the shelter, so his forever human will ideally work with him, so he builds up confidence and trust to also stay alone at home. As per his breed, he is of course an intelligent dog, and simple exercise as sit, here, heel etc are super easy for him. He would be very happy to have a human, who is interested in some form of dog training with him - simple tricks, some obedience, a bit of agility - this will make him really content and allow him to put his energy to a good direction. He is sporty of course, but not overly physically demanding, also considering his age already. Neron also loves to run around in the dog park, as long as the human is with him. Regardless of his size, he is not overwhelming at all - he does not jump all over you, or knock you down by running into you. He is respectful and considerate around a human, which is really excellent and makes also a smaller size human feel comfortable around Neroni. When first getting out of a kennel, after being locked up alone for 23 hours, he is stressed and can be all over the place on the leash, but as soon as he leaves the shelter stress, he is walking great on the leash, and especially on long leashes, sniffing and discovering the area but always staying so nicely close to you. He also loves to play in the water, and enjoys the big puddles after the rain! During his first day out of the shelter, we saw that he is a bit unsure and insecure about new situations and experiences (which would make sense if he was being kept on a terrace), for example loud truck noises make him insecure at the moment, so a calmer surrounding with a repetitive daily schedule would be great for him. Neroni has no issues with walking stairs, travelling in the car, and he did not react to joggers, normal cars, bicycles - a life in small town would work well! During his second time out from the shelter, he was already more relaxed - sitting nicely in the back of the car, walking really well on the leash, responding to commands. He is indeed a very good boy, who loves cuddles, is gentle and friendly. Neroni is respectful about other dogs, but he is not a victim or a submissive dog, when another dog is provoking or threatening him, then he will say something back. However, he is not initiating tension from his side, based on our experience in the shelter. Most probably he would be happiest being an only dog, and the total focus of his human, but it is possible that he could also join a home with a balanced, social female or even male dog, this will be tested upon inquiries. Neroni is the same kind of social and cuddly with both men and female, he loves humans. His shoulder height is 73cm.
