Neroni foi removido de uma casa e fomos instruídos a não devolvê-lo ao anterior proprietário. Não recebemos muitos detalhes e não tínhamos certeza do porquê, pois Neroni estava em peso perfeito, bom estado físico e animado, mas aparentemente ele era mantido no terraço, sem sair para passear. Infelizmente não sabemos os detalhes. O que sabemos, porém, é que Neroni perdeu muito peso nos últimos meses e está realmente sofrendo na instituição, muito mesmo. Ele está extremamente triste por estar confinado em um pequeno quarto, sem proximidade humana, e ele realmente está desesperado por afeto humano. Ele se apaixona imediatamente pelos voluntários que o tiram da sua gaiola, e podes ver algo tão comovedor nos seus olhos - ele olha para as pessoas que o levam para caminhar, como agora mesmo, imediatamente, pronto para sair da instituição ao lado dessa pessoa e nunca mais voltar. Ele te olha como se estivesse dizendo: "és o humano que eu vou amar, certo?". Neroni pode ser um cachorro bem grande fisicamente, mas ele tem uma alma muito sensível por dentro, se encolhendo ao seu lado, buscando proximidade e calor. Ele é um menino muito carinhoso e adoraria ter um humano que goste de proximidade física. Agora que ele perdeu muito peso devido ao estresse na instituição, ele é muito motivado por comida e se concentra em snacks, então é fácil atrair sua atenção e trabalhar com ele. Neroni é o tipo de cão que será 100% leal, dedicado e focado no seu humano. Acreditamos que ele também possa ter ou desenvolver algum estresse de separação, considerando seu passado e também seu sofrimento na instituição, então seu humano definitivo idealmente trabalhará com ele, para que ele ganhe confiança e confie para ficar sozinho em casa. Em relação à raça dele, é claro que ele é um cão inteligente, e exercícios simples como sentar, aqui, andar junto etc são super fáceis para ele. Ele seria muito feliz em ter um humano interessado em algum tipo de treinamento com ele - truques simples, obediência, um pouco de agilidade - isso o deixaria muito contente e permitiria que ele canalizasse sua energia para uma boa direção. Claro que ele é esportivo, mas não exige muito esforço físico, considerando sua idade já avançada. Neroni também adora correr no parque canino, desde que o humano esteja com ele. Independentemente do seu tamanho, ele não é intimidante de jeito nenhum - ele não pula em você ou derruba você ao correr contra você. Ele é respeitoso e considerado em relação aos humanos, o que é realmente excelente e faz com que humanos de menor porte se sintam confortáveis perto de Neroni. Ao sair pela primeira vez de uma gaiola, após ficar sozinho por 23 horas, ele fica estressado e pode se comportar de forma agitada na coleira, mas assim que sai do estresse da instituição, ele caminha muito bem na coleira, especialmente em coleiras longas, farejando e explorando a área, mas sempre mantendo-se muito próximo de você. Ele também adora brincar na água e aprecia os grandes poças depois da chuva! Durante o primeiro dia fora da instituição, vimos que ele é um pouco inseguro com novas situações e experiências (o que faz sentido se ele estava sendo mantido no terraço), por exemplo, ruídos de caminhões altos o deixam inseguro no momento, então um ambiente mais calmo com uma rotina diária repetitiva seria ótimo para ele. Neroni não tem problema em subir escadas, viajar de carro e ele não reagiu a corredores, carros normais, bicicletas - uma vida em uma cidade pequena funcionaria bem! Durante a segunda vez que saiu da instituição, ele já estava mais relaxado - sentado muito bem no banco de trás do carro, caminhando muito bem na coleira, respondendo às ordens. Ele é de fato um bom menino, que adora carinho, é gentil e amigável. Neroni é respeitoso com outros cães, mas ele não é um cão submisso ou vítima, quando outro cão o provoca ou ameaça, ele revida. No entanto, ele não inicia conflitos, com base em nossa experiência na instituição. Muito provavelmente ele seria mais feliz sendo o único cão e o foco total do seu humano, mas é possível que ele também possa se juntar a uma casa com um cão feminino equilibrado e social, ou até mesmo masculino, isso será testado nas consultas. Neroni é igualmente sociável e carinhoso com homens e mulheres, ele ama humanos. A altura do seu ombro é 73 cm.

Neroni was removed from a home and we were instructed not to give him back to the previous owner anymore. We did not receive too many details and we were not sure why, as Neroni himself was in perfect weight, good physical state, and cheerful, but apparently he was being kept on the terrace, without going for walks. Unfortunately we do not know the details. What we do know however, is that Neroni has lost a lot of weight in the previous months and is really suffering in the shelter, very much so. He is immensely sad to be locked up in a small room, without human closeness, and he really is very desperate for human affection. He directly falls in love with volunteers who take him out of his kennel, and you can see something so heartbreaking in his eyes - he looks at humans who takes in for a walk, like he is right now, immediately, ready to leave the shelter by this person's side, and never come back again. He is looking at you like he's just checking, "You are the human I will love, right?". Neroni might be a very big boy physically, but he is just a tender soul inside, curling up to your side, looking for closeness and warmth. He is a really cuddly boy, and would love to have a human, who enjoys physical closeness. Now that he has lost a lot of weight from stress in the shelter, he is very food motivated and concentrated on snacks, so it is easy to get his attention and to work with him. Neroni is the kind of dog that will a 1000% be loyal, dedicated and focused on his human. We think he might also potentially have or develop some separation stress, considering his past and also now his suffering in the shelter, so his forever human will ideally work with him, so he builds up confidence and trust to also stay alone at home. As per his breed, he is of course an intelligent dog, and simple exercise as sit, here, heel etc are super easy for him. He would be very happy to have a human, who is interested in some form of dog training with him - simple tricks, some obedience, a bit of agility - this will make him really content and allow him to put his energy to a good direction. He is sporty of course, but not overly physically demanding, also considering his age already. Neron also loves to run around in the dog park, as long as the human is with him. Regardless of his size, he is not overwhelming at all - he does not jump all over you, or knock you down by running into you. He is respectful and considerate around a human, which is really excellent and makes also a smaller size human feel comfortable around Neroni. When first getting out of a kennel, after being locked up alone for 23 hours, he is stressed and can be all over the place on the leash, but as soon as he leaves the shelter stress, he is walking great on the leash, and especially on long leashes, sniffing and discovering the area but always staying so nicely close to you. He also loves to play in the water, and enjoys the big puddles after the rain! During his first day out of the shelter, we saw that he is a bit unsure and insecure about new situations and experiences (which would make sense if he was being kept on a terrace), for example loud truck noises make him insecure at the moment, so a calmer surrounding with a repetitive daily schedule would be great for him. Neroni has no issues with walking stairs, travelling in the car, and he did not react to joggers, normal cars, bicycles - a life in small town would work well! During his second time out from the shelter, he was already more relaxed - sitting nicely in the back of the car, walking really well on the leash, responding to commands. He is indeed a very good boy, who loves cuddles, is gentle and friendly. Neroni is respectful about other dogs, but he is not a victim or a submissive dog, when another dog is provoking or threatening him, then he will say something back. However, he is not initiating tension from his side, based on our experience in the shelter. Most probably he would be happiest being an only dog, and the total focus of his human, but it is possible that he could also join a home with a balanced, social female or even male dog, this will be tested upon inquiries. Neroni is the same kind of social and cuddly with both men and female, he loves humans. His shoulder height is 73cm.
