Neroni a fost scos dintr-o casă și am primit instrucțiuni să nu-l mai dăm înapoi vechiului proprietar. Nu am primit prea multe detalii și nu știam de ce, deoarece Neroni era în greutate perfectă, într-o stare fizică bună și vesel, dar aparent era ținut pe terasă, fără a merge la plimbări. Ne pare rău că nu cunoaștem detaliile. Tot ce știm cu siguranță este că Neroni a pierdut multă greutate în ultimele luni și suferă foarte tare în adăpost, cu adevărat. Este extrem de trist să fie închis într-o cameră mică, fără aproape uman și are nevoie mare de atenția și afecțiunea oamenilor. Îl iubește direct voluntarii care-l scot din boxă, și poți vedea ceva foarte dureros în ochii lui – se uită la oamenii care-l iau la plimbare, exact acum, pregătit s-o părăsească pentru totdeauna alături de această persoană. Se uită la tine ca și cum ar spune: „Ești tu omul pe care-l iubesc, da?” Neroni poate fi un băiat foarte mare din punct de vedere fizic, dar din interior e doar o suflet dulce, care se încurce lângă tine, cautând aproape și căldură. Este un băiat foarte prietenos și ar iubi un om care să aprecie contactul fizic. Acum că a pierdut multă greutate din stres în adăpost, este foarte motivat de mâncare și se concentrează asupra gustărilor, așa că e ușor să-i atragi atenția și să lucrezi cu el. Neroni este felul de câine care va fi 100% loial, dedicat și concentrat pe omul lui. Credem că ar putea avea sau dezvolta o anxietate de separare, având în vedere trecutul lui și suferința din adăpost, așa că omul său pentru totdeauna ar trebui să muncească cu el, pentru a-și construi încrederea și încrederea pentru a sta singur acasă. După rasă, desigur că este un câine inteligent, iar exerciții simple precum „stai”, „aici”, „până” sunt super ușoare pentru el. Ar fi foarte fericit să aibă un om interesați de antrenamentul cu el – trucuri simple, obeziență, un pic de agilitate – acest lucru îl va face foarte conștient și îi va permite să-și dirijeze energia într-un mod bun. Este sportiv, desigur, dar nu prea obositor fizic, având în vedere vârsta lui. Neroni mai iubește să alerge în parcul câinilor, atâta timp cât omul e alături de el. Indiferent de mărimea lui, nu este deloc supărător – nu sare peste tine sau te lovește când vine la tine. Este respectuos și considerat față de oameni, ceea ce e foarte bun și face ca oamenii mai mici să se simtă comod în preajma lui Neroni. La prima ieșire din boxă, după ce a stat închis singur 23 de ore, este stresat și poate fi cam în toate părțile la coardă, dar imediat ce părăsește stresul adăpostului, merge foarte bine la coardă, mai ales la coarde lungi, mirosind și descoperind zona, dar întotdeauna ținându-se atât de aproape de tine. Mai iubește să joace în apă și se bucură de mărunțișurile mari după ploaie! În prima zi de afară din adăpost, am observat că este puțin neliniștit și nedeterminat în privința situațiilor noi și experiențelor (ceea ce are sens dacă fusese ținut pe terasă), de exemplu zgomotele mașinilor mari îl fac neliniștit în prezent, așa că un mediu mai calm cu un program zilnic repetitiv ar fi excelent pentru el. Neroni nu are probleme cu scări, călătorii în mașină și nu a reacționat la alergători, mașini normale, biciclete – o viață într-un oraș mic ar merge bine! În a doua lui ieșire din adăpost, a fost deja mai relaxat – stând frumos în spatele mașinii, mergând foarte bine la coardă, răspunzând la comenzile. Este cu adevărat un băiat foarte bun, iubește îmbrățișările, este blând și prietenos. Neroni este respectuos față de ceilalți câini, dar nu este un câine care se supune sau este victimă, când alt câine îl provoacă sau îl amenință, va spune ceva înapoi. Cu toate acestea, el nu inițiază tensiunea din partea lui, conform experienței noastre din adăpost. Probabil că va fi cel mai fericit fiind singur, cu toată atenția umanului său, dar este posibil ca el să intre într-o casă cu un câine femela echilibrat și social, chiar și mascul, acest lucru va fi testat la solicitări. Neroni este la fel de social și prietenos cu bărbați și femei, îl iubește pe om. Înălțimea umerilor lui este 73 cm.

Neroni was removed from a home and we were instructed not to give him back to the previous owner anymore. We did not receive too many details and we were not sure why, as Neroni himself was in perfect weight, good physical state, and cheerful, but apparently he was being kept on the terrace, without going for walks. Unfortunately we do not know the details. What we do know however, is that Neroni has lost a lot of weight in the previous months and is really suffering in the shelter, very much so. He is immensely sad to be locked up in a small room, without human closeness, and he really is very desperate for human affection. He directly falls in love with volunteers who take him out of his kennel, and you can see something so heartbreaking in his eyes - he looks at humans who takes in for a walk, like he is right now, immediately, ready to leave the shelter by this person's side, and never come back again. He is looking at you like he's just checking, "You are the human I will love, right?". Neroni might be a very big boy physically, but he is just a tender soul inside, curling up to your side, looking for closeness and warmth. He is a really cuddly boy, and would love to have a human, who enjoys physical closeness. Now that he has lost a lot of weight from stress in the shelter, he is very food motivated and concentrated on snacks, so it is easy to get his attention and to work with him. Neroni is the kind of dog that will a 1000% be loyal, dedicated and focused on his human. We think he might also potentially have or develop some separation stress, considering his past and also now his suffering in the shelter, so his forever human will ideally work with him, so he builds up confidence and trust to also stay alone at home. As per his breed, he is of course an intelligent dog, and simple exercise as sit, here, heel etc are super easy for him. He would be very happy to have a human, who is interested in some form of dog training with him - simple tricks, some obedience, a bit of agility - this will make him really content and allow him to put his energy to a good direction. He is sporty of course, but not overly physically demanding, also considering his age already. Neron also loves to run around in the dog park, as long as the human is with him. Regardless of his size, he is not overwhelming at all - he does not jump all over you, or knock you down by running into you. He is respectful and considerate around a human, which is really excellent and makes also a smaller size human feel comfortable around Neroni. When first getting out of a kennel, after being locked up alone for 23 hours, he is stressed and can be all over the place on the leash, but as soon as he leaves the shelter stress, he is walking great on the leash, and especially on long leashes, sniffing and discovering the area but always staying so nicely close to you. He also loves to play in the water, and enjoys the big puddles after the rain! During his first day out of the shelter, we saw that he is a bit unsure and insecure about new situations and experiences (which would make sense if he was being kept on a terrace), for example loud truck noises make him insecure at the moment, so a calmer surrounding with a repetitive daily schedule would be great for him. Neroni has no issues with walking stairs, travelling in the car, and he did not react to joggers, normal cars, bicycles - a life in small town would work well! During his second time out from the shelter, he was already more relaxed - sitting nicely in the back of the car, walking really well on the leash, responding to commands. He is indeed a very good boy, who loves cuddles, is gentle and friendly. Neroni is respectful about other dogs, but he is not a victim or a submissive dog, when another dog is provoking or threatening him, then he will say something back. However, he is not initiating tension from his side, based on our experience in the shelter. Most probably he would be happiest being an only dog, and the total focus of his human, but it is possible that he could also join a home with a balanced, social female or even male dog, this will be tested upon inquiries. Neroni is the same kind of social and cuddly with both men and female, he loves humans. His shoulder height is 73cm.
