Neroni fue retirado de un hogar y se nos instruyó que no lo devolviéramos al anterior dueño. No recibimos demasiados detalles y no estábamos seguros de por qué, ya que Neroni mismo estaba en peso perfecto, buen estado físico y animado, pero aparentemente lo tenían en el balcón, sin salir a pasear. Lamentablemente no conocemos los detalles. Sin embargo, lo que sí sabemos es que Neroni ha perdido mucho peso en los últimos meses y está sufriendo mucho en el refugio, muy mucho. Está profundamente triste por estar encerrado en una habitación pequeña, sin cercanía humana, y realmente está desesperado por el afecto humano. Se enamora directamente de los voluntarios que lo sacan de su jaula, y puedes ver algo tan conmovedor en sus ojos: mira a las personas que lo llevan a pasear, como ahora mismo, inmediatamente, listo para dejar el refugio a lado de esta persona, y nunca regresar. Él te mira como si estuviera pensando: "¿Eres la persona que voy a amar, verdad?". Neroni puede ser un chico muy grande físicamente, pero tiene un alma tierna por dentro, acurrucándose a tu lado, buscando cercanía y calor. Es un chico muy cariñoso y le encantaría tener un humano que disfrute del contacto físico. Ahora que ha perdido mucho peso por el estrés en el refugio, es muy motivado por la comida y se concentra en snacks, por lo que es fácil llamar su atención y trabajar con él. Neroni es el tipo de perro que será 100% fiel, dedicado y enfocado en su humano. Creemos que podría tener o desarrollar algún estrés por separación, considerando su pasado y también su sufrimiento en el refugio, por lo tanto su humano para siempre idealmente trabajará con él, para que construya confianza y seguridad y también pueda estar solo en casa. En cuanto a su raza, por supuesto es un perro inteligente, y ejercicios simples como siéntate, aquí, vete etc son super fáciles para él. Le encantaría tener un humano interesado en algún tipo de entrenamiento con él - trucos sencillos, obediencia, un poco de agilidad - esto lo haría muy feliz y le permitiría canalizar su energía hacia una buena dirección. Claro que es deportivo, pero no es excesivamente exigente física, también considerando su edad. Neroni también ama correr en el parque canino, siempre que el humano esté con él. Independientemente de su tamaño, no es abrumador en absoluto - no salta sobre ti ni te derriba al correr contra ti. Es respetuoso y considerado con las personas, lo cual es realmente excelente y hace que incluso personas de tamaño más pequeño se sientan cómodas alrededor de Neroni. Cuando sale por primera vez de la jaula, después de estar encerrado solo durante 23 horas, está estresado y puede estar totalmente fuera de control con la correa, pero tan pronto como deja de sentir el estrés del refugio, camina muy bien con la correa, y especialmente con correas largas, olfateando y descubriendo el área, pero siempre manteniéndose muy cerca de ti. También le encanta jugar en el agua, y disfruta de los grandes charcos después de la lluvia. Durante su primer día fuera del refugio, vimos que está un poco inseguro y desconfiado ante situaciones nuevas y experiencias (lo cual tendría sentido si había estado en un balcón), por ejemplo, los ruidos fuertes de camiones lo hacen inseguro en este momento, así que un entorno más tranquilo con un horario diario repetitivo sería genial para él. Neroni no tiene problemas para caminar escaleras, viajar en el automóvil, y no reaccionó a corredores, autos normales, bicicletas - una vida en una pequeña ciudad funcionaría bien. Durante su segunda vez fuera del refugio, ya estaba más relajado - sentado muy bien en la parte trasera del automóvil, caminando muy bien con la correa, respondiendo a las órdenes. Es realmente un buen chico, que ama los abrazos, es dulce y amigable. Neroni es respetuoso con otros perros, pero no es un perro sumiso o víctima, cuando otro perro lo provoca o amenaza, entonces dice algo al respecto. Sin embargo, no inicia tensión desde su lado, según nuestra experiencia en el refugio. Probablemente sea más feliz siendo el único perro, y el foco total de su humano, pero es posible que también pueda unirse a un hogar con un perro hembra equilibrado y social, e incluso macho, esto se probará ante las consultas. Neroni es igual de sociable y cariñoso con hombres y mujeres, ama a los humanos. Su altura al hombro es de 73 cm.

Neroni was removed from a home and we were instructed not to give him back to the previous owner anymore. We did not receive too many details and we were not sure why, as Neroni himself was in perfect weight, good physical state, and cheerful, but apparently he was being kept on the terrace, without going for walks. Unfortunately we do not know the details. What we do know however, is that Neroni has lost a lot of weight in the previous months and is really suffering in the shelter, very much so. He is immensely sad to be locked up in a small room, without human closeness, and he really is very desperate for human affection. He directly falls in love with volunteers who take him out of his kennel, and you can see something so heartbreaking in his eyes - he looks at humans who takes in for a walk, like he is right now, immediately, ready to leave the shelter by this person's side, and never come back again. He is looking at you like he's just checking, "You are the human I will love, right?". Neroni might be a very big boy physically, but he is just a tender soul inside, curling up to your side, looking for closeness and warmth. He is a really cuddly boy, and would love to have a human, who enjoys physical closeness. Now that he has lost a lot of weight from stress in the shelter, he is very food motivated and concentrated on snacks, so it is easy to get his attention and to work with him. Neroni is the kind of dog that will a 1000% be loyal, dedicated and focused on his human. We think he might also potentially have or develop some separation stress, considering his past and also now his suffering in the shelter, so his forever human will ideally work with him, so he builds up confidence and trust to also stay alone at home. As per his breed, he is of course an intelligent dog, and simple exercise as sit, here, heel etc are super easy for him. He would be very happy to have a human, who is interested in some form of dog training with him - simple tricks, some obedience, a bit of agility - this will make him really content and allow him to put his energy to a good direction. He is sporty of course, but not overly physically demanding, also considering his age already. Neron also loves to run around in the dog park, as long as the human is with him. Regardless of his size, he is not overwhelming at all - he does not jump all over you, or knock you down by running into you. He is respectful and considerate around a human, which is really excellent and makes also a smaller size human feel comfortable around Neroni. When first getting out of a kennel, after being locked up alone for 23 hours, he is stressed and can be all over the place on the leash, but as soon as he leaves the shelter stress, he is walking great on the leash, and especially on long leashes, sniffing and discovering the area but always staying so nicely close to you. He also loves to play in the water, and enjoys the big puddles after the rain! During his first day out of the shelter, we saw that he is a bit unsure and insecure about new situations and experiences (which would make sense if he was being kept on a terrace), for example loud truck noises make him insecure at the moment, so a calmer surrounding with a repetitive daily schedule would be great for him. Neroni has no issues with walking stairs, travelling in the car, and he did not react to joggers, normal cars, bicycles - a life in small town would work well! During his second time out from the shelter, he was already more relaxed - sitting nicely in the back of the car, walking really well on the leash, responding to commands. He is indeed a very good boy, who loves cuddles, is gentle and friendly. Neroni is respectful about other dogs, but he is not a victim or a submissive dog, when another dog is provoking or threatening him, then he will say something back. However, he is not initiating tension from his side, based on our experience in the shelter. Most probably he would be happiest being an only dog, and the total focus of his human, but it is possible that he could also join a home with a balanced, social female or even male dog, this will be tested upon inquiries. Neroni is the same kind of social and cuddly with both men and female, he loves humans. His shoulder height is 73cm.
