Rusty został przekazany nam w schronisku dla zwierząt w Calvià wraz ze swoim przyjacielem-psom. Rodzina opuszcza wyspę na koniec miesiąca. Loyalny starszy pies urodził się w marcu, ma jedenaście lat. Rusty jest niezwykle zabawny, bardzo miły, bardzo życzliwy i zawsze szuka bliskości, ochrony i uwagi. Lubie ludzi i kontakt z nimi, lubi dzieci (które już rozumieją psy) i wydaje się, że nie ma problemu z kotami. Niestety jego stan fizyczny w tej chwili jest bardzo słaby. Ma duże trudności z poruszaniem się za pomocą tylnych łap. I mimo to nadal chce poruszać się. Chce być tam i chce być blisko swojego opiekuna. Rusty szybko zdobył zaufanie do nas, ale ma wielkie trudności z nową sytuacją w schronisku. I oczywiście cierpi bardzo z powodu zimnych nocy, które są również trudne dla jego stawów. Ma bardzo dobre relacje ze swoim przyjacielem-psom Pedrin, ale mógłby oczywiście trafić do odpowiedniego domu samodzielnie – ponieważ nie nadaje się do swojego młodszego i wyjątkowo aktywnego przyjaciela-psa. Chcielibyśmy bardzo znaleźć odpowiedni dom lub stałe opiekunkie, najlepiej tu na wyspie – ponieważ chcemy oczywiście zaoszczędzić mu długiej podróży. Rusty nie miał wiele w życiu i nie musi tego kompensować teraz. Bezpieczeństwo, ciepłe, przyjazne i oczywiście całkowicie poziome miejsce, dużo uwagi i bliskości, dobre jedzenie i po prostu należenie – to czego potrzebuje Rusty, i to czego tak bardzo pragniemy dla niego. Jedno jest pewne – da swoim ludziom ogromną ilość w zamian 🙏…

Rusty was handed in to us at the animal shelter in Calvià, together with his dog buddy. The family is leaving the island at the end of the month. The loyal senior dog turned eleven years old in March. Rusty is incredibly adorable, just lovely, very affectionate and always looking for closeness, protection and attention. He loves people and contact with them, he likes children (who already understand dogs) and seems to have no problem with cats. Unfortunately, his physical condition is anything but good at the moment. He has great difficulty walking with his hind legs. And yet he still wants to move around. He wants to be there and wants to be close to his carer. Rusty has built up trust in us very quickly, but he is having great difficulty with the new situation at the shelter. And of course he is suffering a lot from the cold nights, which are also very hard on his joints. He has a very good relationship with his dog buddy Pedrin, but could of course also go to a suitable home on his own – as he is no match for his younger and incredibly active dog buddy. We would so much like to find a suitable home or a permanent foster home, preferably here on the island – as we would of course like to spare him a long journey. Rusty hasn’t really experienced much in his life and he doesn’t need to make up for it now. Security, a warm, cosy and of course absolutely ground-level place, lots of attention and closeness, good food and simply belonging – that’s what Rusty needs, and that’s what we want so much for him. One thing is certain – he will give his humans an incredible amount in return 🙏…
