Originalmente resgatada como filhote de um lixão na Macedónia juntamente com os seus oito irmãos, Cleo agora deseja ser o ponto focal numa casa onde tenha espaço para estender as patas e brincar. Passou quase um ano numa casa, mas foi devolvida por ter dificuldade em ambientes movimentados; os muitos miúdos, cães residentes e altos níveis de barulho causaram-lhe stress e tornaram difícil a sua adaptação. Agora está a florescer no ambiente mais tranquilo dos nossos canis. Gostaríamos de reabilitá-la localmente para podermos continuar a prestar apoio aos seus adoptantes. Uma senhora com pernas compridas e corpo ágil, gosta das suas corridas diárias pelo nosso campo seguro. Esperamos encontrar-lhe uma casa com jardim cercado onde possa soltar-se. A sua alta energia e inteligência significam que se sairia bem com treino e engajamento individual. Jovem e cheia de potencial, Cleo seria um excelente cão de agilidade e já domina os comandos básicos, oferecendo obedientemente a pata para um delicioso petisco. É muito motivada pelo alimento, mas também gosta dos seus brinquedos, um antigo futebol é perfeito para ela jogar busca e luta. Esta é uma boa forma de desgastar parte da sua energia excessiva antes de uma caminhada. Cleo tende a ficar excitada no início das suas caminhadas, provavelmente porque fica contente por estar fora. À medida que se adapta à rotina nova, as caminhadas tornar-se-ão uma parte regular do seu dia, ajudando-a a manter-se calma e composta. Depois de se acalmar, ela é muito boa numa caminhada, usando uma coleira e guia. Fica contente em ignorar outros cães, interage bem quando necessário, mas prefere muito mais o seu espaço pessoal. Por isso, acreditamos que se sairia melhor como único cão numa família. Confie em nós, ela tem muito amor para partilhar! É querida pelos seus cuidadores e tem muitas particularidades que sempre nos divertem. Se pensar que não lhe está a dar a atenção que merece, irá empurrar as suas mãos com a pata até ficar satisfeita. Às vezes, após uma fase de correria, as suas orelhas flácidas não conseguem decidir para onde querem, deixando-a com uma orelha para baixo e outra hilariamente virada para cima. Cleo teve recentemente a oportunidade de conhecer alguns animais e fez muito bem! É curiosa em relação aos gatos e gosta de cheirar, mas não demonstra agressividade. Também encontrou galinhas e pavões e ficou contente em apenas cheirar sem mostrar instintos de caça. Cleo prospera com uma dieta de comida crua, o que tem sido fantástico para a sua saúde e para mantê-la em bom estado. Esperamos que a sua nova família continue com esta dieta. Se achar que ela parece muito ao Little Fred, outro dos nossos cães, tem razão — são irmãos! As suas disposições alegres semelhantes são apenas uma das muitas características que partilham. Originally rescued as a puppy from a rubbish dump in Macedonia along with her eight siblings, Cleo now longs to be the focal point in a home where she has the space to stretch her legs and play. She spent almost a year in a home but was returned due to her struggling with the bustling environment; the numerous children, resident dogs, and high noise levels caused her stress and made it difficult for her to adjust. She is now flourishing in the more tranquil environment of our kennels. We would like to rehome her locally so that we can continue to provide support to her adopters. A lady with long legs and an agile build, she cherishes her daily sprints across our secure field. We hope to find her a home with an enclosed garden where she can let loose. Her high energy and intelligence mean she would excel with one-to-one training and engagement. Young and brimming with potential, Cleo would make an excellent agility dog and has already mastered the basic commands, eagerly offering her paw for a delicious treat. She is very food motivated but also loves her toys, an old football is perfect for her to play fetch and tug-of-war with, this is a great way to get some of her excess energy out before a walk. Cleo tends to get excited at the start of her walks, probably because she is thrilled to be out and about. As she gets used to her new home routine, walks will become a regular part of her day, helping her stay calm and composed. After she calms down, she's great on a walk, using a harness and slip lead. She's content to ignore other dogs, interacts nicely when it's called for, but much prefers her personal space. Because of this, we believe she would do best as the only dog in a household. Trust us, she has plenty of love to share! She's adored by her caregivers and has many quirks that always keep us amused. If she thinks you're not giving her the attention she deserves, she'll nudge your hands with her paw until she's content. Sometimes, after a bout of zoomies, her floppy ears can't quite figure out where they want to be, leaving her with one ear down and the other hilariously flipped up. Cleo recently had a chance to meet some animals, and she did great! She's curious about cats and enjoys a good sniff but doesn't show any aggression. She also encountered chickens and peacocks and was content to just sniff around without displaying any hunting instincts. Cleo thrives on a raw food diet, which has been fantastic for her health and keeping her in great shape. We hope her new family will continue this diet. If you think she looks a lot like Little Fred, another one of our dogs, you're right—they're littermates! Their similar cheerful dispositions are just one of the many traits they share. She has tested negative for brucellosis, leishmaniasis and has passed her Snap 4D test which tests for heartworm, ehrlichia and anaplasma. A healthy, happy girl.
