26-04-18 Coan é um lindo menino que chegou a nós de um criador para encontrar seu lar para sempre. Quando ele chegou, estava sofrendo com glaucoma e infelizmente precisou ter seu olho esquerdo removido, mas ele está se recuperando bem e não deixou isso o atrapalhar. Ele também teve uma odontologia e não tem muitos dentes restantes. Ele é um muito doce pequeno homem, mas ainda é um pouco ansioso perto das pessoas e precisará de algum tempo e paciência para construir sua confiança. Ele ainda não está acostumado a ser manipulado, então precisará de adotantes calmos e compreensivos que estejam felizes em deixá-lo seguir seu próprio ritmo e não o pressionar. Com tempo, bondade e reassurance, ele começará a se sentir seguro e mostrar sua verdadeira natureza carinhosa. Coan depende bastante de seus amigos da gaiola para confiança, então ele precisará de pelo menos outro cão gentil e paciente residente em seu novo lar para ajudá-lo a se adaptar e aprender que o mundo não é tão assustador. Como Coan nunca viveu em uma casa antes, ele precisará de apoio com os básicos, incluindo treinamento para ir ao banheiro e aprender a andar com coleira. Coan is a lovely boy who has come to us from a breeder to find his forever home. When he arrived, he was suffering with glaucoma and unfortunately did need to have his left eye removed, but he has recovered well and hasn’t let this slow him down. He has also had a dental and now has very few teeth remaining and has been treated for a ear infection. Since arriving at Many Tears, Coan has come on leaps and bounds. He has taken everything in his stride and, now that he is feeling much better, he is more than ready to move on to the next stage of his life in a loving home. He has recently moved to a wonderful foster home where he is settling in well and learning all about home life for the very first time. He especially loves his food and eats with great enthusiasm and has affectionately been described as a greedy boy, so food will definitely be the way to his heart. He is a very sweet little man who has grown in confidence and is now much more comfortable around people. While he can still be a little sensitive at times, he is enjoying gentle fuss and is showing just how lovely he truly is. Coan will be looking for a calm and quiet home, where he can settle in at his own pace. He could be homed with older, dog-savvy teenagers who understand the importance of giving him space while he adjusts. He relies on other dogs for reassurance, so he will need at least one other kind and confident resident dog in his new home to help him continue building confidence. He loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home and would love his new friends to want to play with him. As he had never lived in a home before moving to foster, he will need kind and understanding adopters who will be patient as he adjusts to home life and starts learning all about house training. He is becoming increasingly confident wearing a harness and when he was at the rescue he would happily enjoy going for walks with both staff and volunteers as long as he had another dog by his side, which is wonderful progress. Coan is a truly sweet older gentleman who has stolen everyones hearts during his time with us and is more than ready to find his perfect forever home. Coan has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog. This dog can be homed with cats.
