Foi parte de uma família de cães de rua que alimentávamos diariamente, Dex era o pai de uma ninhada vulnerável. Quando os moradores locais começaram a envenenar cães de rua, agimos rapidamente. Embora não pudéssemos salvar todos, conseguimos resgatar Dex e seu único filhote sobrevivente, Benny. Desde o momento em que chegou ao nosso cuidado, a força e resiliência de Dex ficaram claras. Testes revelaram larva de coração, que está sendo tratada atualmente. Ele está quase totalmente recuperado e estará pronto para viajar assim que seus resultados estiverem claros. Resgatado em maio de 2025, Dex tem se saído bem sob o cuidado de seus handlers dedicados. Com sessões regulares de treinamento, estrutura e apoio constante, ele fez grandes progressos. Once part of a family of street dogs we fed daily, Dex was the father of a vulnerable litter. When local villagers began poisoning street dogs, we acted quickly. While we sadly couldn’t save them all, we managed to rescue Dex and his only surviving pup, Benny . From the moment he arrived in our care, Dex’s strength and resilience were clear. Testing revealed heartworm, which is currently being treated. He is nearing full recovery and will be ready to travel once his results are clear. Rescued in May 2025, Dex has been thriving under the care of his dedicated handlers. With regular training sessions, structure, and consistent support, he has made wonderful progress. As he began to feel safe, Dex started playing like a puppy, finally free to relax and enjoy life. His affectionate and clever nature is shining through more each day and his training continues to develop week by week. By the time he is adopted, Dex will be even more confident and prepared for his next chapter. Dex is a true working-line German Shepherd: intelligent, loyal and deeply devoted to his people. He has natural guarding instincts and takes his role seriously, making him a reliable protector of the home.
