Sabemos apenas que teriam sido abandonados pelos antigos donos e que foram cuidados por uma pessoa generosa da comunidade. Quando chegaram, estavam em condições bastante precárias. Desde então, foram examinados pelos nossos veterinários e receberam o tratamento necessário para voltarem a ficar em boa forma! Toad e Sal estão atualmente alojadas com os seus dois outros familiares. Os quatro gatos dão-se muito bem e são frequentemente vistos aninhados uns nos outros e partilhando a comida. Podem ser adotados em pares designados ou em grupo de quatro. Toad, a tartaruga mais escura, já percorreu um longo caminho desde que entrou no resgate. Era bastante tímida e escondia-se debaixo de mantas, mas agora aproxima-se ativamente das pessoas para receber carícias e petiscos! Achamos que, quando se instalar num lar, ganhará ainda mais confiança. Sal, a fêmea ruiva e branca, é um pouco mais cautelosa. É muito mais reservada e foge quando as pessoas tentam aproximar-se. No entanto, já mostrou sinais de que poderia confiar nas pessoas se as conhecesse bem. Com o apoio dos outros gatos da sua colónia, aproximar-se-á de si se estiver calmo e for gentil. Toad e Sal beneficiariam muito de um lar com acesso ao exterior. Seria preferível que encontrassem um lar semi-rural ou rural, onde pudessem passar juntas o resto dos seus dias, mas também podem adaptar-se a uma casa numa rua tranquila com um jardim de bom tamanho! Não temos qualquer histórico conhecido sobre se se dariam bem com outros gatos ou com cães, por isso o ideal seria que fossem para um lar sem outros animais de estimação. Only that they had supposedly been left behind by their previous owners and were cared for by a kind member of the public. When they arrived, they were in pretty poor condition. They have since been seen by our vets and have received the treatment they needed to get back in good shape! Toad and Sal are currently housed with their two other family members. All four cats get along very well and are often spotted cuddling together and sharing their food. They can either go as designated pairs or they can go as a group of four. Toad, the darker tortie, has come a long way since she entered rescue. She was quite shy and would hide under blankets but now she will actively approach people for pets and treats! We feel once she settles into a home she will gain even more confidence. Sal, the ginger and white female, is a bit more cautious. She is a lot more reclusive and will run when people try to approach her. She has, however, shown signs that she could trust people if she gets to know them well enough. With reassurance from the other cats in her colony, she will approach you if you’re quiet and gentle. Toad and Sal would greatly benefit from a home with outdoor access. It would be most preferrable if they find a semi-rural or rural home to spend the rest of their days together but they could settle into a home on a quiet road with a generously sized garden! We have no known history of whether they would get along with other cats or with dogs so it would be best if they go to a home without other pets.
