Solo sabemos que sus antiguos dueños supuestamente los abandonaron y que un amable miembro del público los cuidó. Cuando llegaron, estaban en bastante mal estado. Desde entonces, nuestros veterinarios los han examinado y han recibido el tratamiento que necesitaban para recuperar una buena salud. Toad y Sal se encuentran actualmente alojadas junto con sus otros dos miembros de la familia. Las cuatro gatas se llevan muy bien y a menudo se las ve acurrucadas juntas y compartiendo la comida. Pueden adoptarse como parejas designadas o como un grupo de cuatro. Toad, la tortie más oscura, ha progresado mucho desde que llegó al rescate. Era bastante tímida y se escondía debajo de las mantas, pero ahora se acerca activamente a las personas para recibir caricias y golosinas. Creemos que, una vez que se instale en un hogar, ganará aún más confianza. Sal, la hembra de color naranja y blanco, es un poco más cautelosa. Es mucho más reservada y huye cuando la gente intenta acercarse. Sin embargo, ha mostrado signos de que podría confiar en las personas si llega a conocerlas bien. Con la tranquilidad que le dan las otras gatas de su colonia, se acercará a ti si te mantienes en silencio y eres delicado. Toad y Sal se beneficiarían mucho de un hogar con acceso al exterior. Lo ideal sería que encontraran un hogar semirrural o rural en el que pasar juntas el resto de sus días, aunque también podrían adaptarse a una casa en una calle tranquila con un jardín de buen tamaño. No sabemos si se llevarían bien con otros gatos o con perros, así que lo mejor sería que fueran a un hogar sin otras mascotas. Only that they had supposedly been left behind by their previous owners and were cared for by a kind member of the public. When they arrived, they were in pretty poor condition. They have since been seen by our vets and have received the treatment they needed to get back in good shape! Toad and Sal are currently housed with their two other family members. All four cats get along very well and are often spotted cuddling together and sharing their food. They can either go as designated pairs or they can go as a group of four. Toad, the darker tortie, has come a long way since she entered rescue. She was quite shy and would hide under blankets but now she will actively approach people for pets and treats! We feel once she settles into a home she will gain even more confidence. Sal, the ginger and white female, is a bit more cautious. She is a lot more reclusive and will run when people try to approach her. She has, however, shown signs that she could trust people if she gets to know them well enough. With reassurance from the other cats in her colony, she will approach you if you’re quiet and gentle. Toad and Sal would greatly benefit from a home with outdoor access. It would be most preferrable if they find a semi-rural or rural home to spend the rest of their days together but they could settle into a home on a quiet road with a generously sized garden! We have no known history of whether they would get along with other cats or with dogs so it would be best if they go to a home without other pets.
