Sappiamo solo che sarebbero stati abbandonati dai precedenti proprietari e che erano stati accuditi da una persona gentile del pubblico. Al loro arrivo, versavano in condizioni piuttosto precarie. Da allora sono stati visitati dai nostri veterinari e hanno ricevuto le cure necessarie per tornare in buona forma! Toad e Sal sono attualmente ospitate insieme agli altri due membri della loro famiglia. Tutti e quattro i gatti vanno molto d'accordo e vengono spesso visti mentre si coccolano insieme e condividono il cibo. Possono essere adottati come coppie designate oppure come gruppo di quattro. Toad, la tartarugata più scura, ha fatto molta strada da quando è entrata nel rifugio. Era piuttosto timida e si nascondeva sotto le coperte, ma ora si avvicina attivamente alle persone per essere accarezzata e ricevere dei premietti! Riteniamo che, una volta sistemata in una casa, acquisterà ancora più fiducia in sé stessa. Sal, la femmina rossa e bianca, è un po' più cauta. È molto più riservata e scappa quando le persone cercano di avvicinarsi. Ha però mostrato segnali che potrebbe fidarsi delle persone se riesce a conoscerle abbastanza bene. Rassicurata dagli altri gatti della sua colonia, si avvicinerà a te se sarai tranquilla e gentile. Toad e Sal trarrebbero grande beneficio da una casa con accesso all'esterno. Sarebbe preferibile che trovassero una casa semirurale o rurale, dove trascorrere insieme il resto dei loro giorni, ma potrebbero adattarsi anche a una casa in una strada tranquilla con un giardino di buone dimensioni! Non abbiamo informazioni certe su come si comporterebbero con altri gatti o con i cani, quindi sarebbe meglio che andassero in una casa senza altri animali domestici. Only that they had supposedly been left behind by their previous owners and were cared for by a kind member of the public. When they arrived, they were in pretty poor condition. They have since been seen by our vets and have received the treatment they needed to get back in good shape! Toad and Sal are currently housed with their two other family members. All four cats get along very well and are often spotted cuddling together and sharing their food. They can either go as designated pairs or they can go as a group of four. Toad, the darker tortie, has come a long way since she entered rescue. She was quite shy and would hide under blankets but now she will actively approach people for pets and treats! We feel once she settles into a home she will gain even more confidence. Sal, the ginger and white female, is a bit more cautious. She is a lot more reclusive and will run when people try to approach her. She has, however, shown signs that she could trust people if she gets to know them well enough. With reassurance from the other cats in her colony, she will approach you if you’re quiet and gentle. Toad and Sal would greatly benefit from a home with outdoor access. It would be most preferrable if they find a semi-rural or rural home to spend the rest of their days together but they could settle into a home on a quiet road with a generously sized garden! We have no known history of whether they would get along with other cats or with dogs so it would be best if they go to a home without other pets.
