Adolfo a fost găsit alături de prietena ei, câinele femele German Shephard Astoria, pe Bulevardul Marbella, amândoi purtând mingi, amândoi nesecerați. Se crede că aparțineau unui tabără de romi sau altor tipuri de grupuri care trăiesc în mișcare. A durat un timp până să aflăm mai multe despre Adolfo înainte ca el să poată fi prezentat bine, când au venit pentru prima dată, Adolfo era reactiv față de alte câini din stradă și, de asemenea, domnea asupra lui Astoria, așa că au fost separate pentru o vreme, deoarece împreună erau anxioși și nu puteau să se bucure de timp în parcul câinilor, să alerge, să se rostogolească în iarbă, să comunice cu oamenii. În prezent, Adolfo este un câine complet diferit, iar deși orice câine, în special un German Shephard, este foarte stresat și nefericit în adăpost, el este capabil să se concentreze pe om, să facă plimbări în jurul adăpostului, să alerge și să snufească în ierbura parcurilor pentru câini, dar și să meargă zile la voluntari - la plajă, în natură. Este foarte blând și social cu voluntarii și se adaptează bine la diferite situații și oameni, îi place foarte mult să lucreze și să interacționeze cu oamenii. De asemenea, este foarte confortabil să fie atins. Adolfo, la fel ca mulți German Shephards, este foarte inteligent, este ușor și plăcut să lucrezi cu el. Îi place, de asemenea, gustările, ceea ce face ca antrenamentul pentru obediennță, agilitate și lucru cu miros să fie chiar mai ușor cu el. Adolfo și Astoria trăiesc din nou împreună, nu mai se excitează unul pe altul, ci se bucură foarte mult de alergarea în parcul câinilor. Ei sunt disponibili pentru adoptare împreună, dar și individual. Când un iubitor de German Shephards caută un duo care va petrece mult timp afară, în curte, pe fermă etc., atunci adoptarea lor împreună ar fi minunată. Când căutați un German Shephard care să se concentreze pe voi, un câine pentru plimbări, antrenament de căutare, sesiuni de obediennță, atunci vrem să recomandăm adoptarea individuală, deoarece fiecare dintre ei este mult mai capabil să se concentreze pe om, iar nivelurile de energie sunt mai joase. Adolfo ar fi foarte fericit să fie singurul câine al unei case, sau să fie adoptat împreună cu Astoria, sau să intre într-o casă cu o femeie sigură și socială deja așteptând. Cu toate acestea, el nu îmi place alți băieți cu prezență dominantă, și în momentul de față preferă să nu trăiască în zone încărcate cu alți câini, până când li se oferă o bună formare de socializare canină. Adolfo călătorește bine în mașină și merge bine pe ștreang în ziua lui din afara adăpostului, mergând relaxat și încrezător. În afara adăpostului, el era în general neutral față de câinii de mărime medie/mare, dar nu îi plăceau câinii mici care latră mult. Adolfo nu are probleme cu bicicletele, mașinile, scooterurile și este respectuos față de oamenii care trec pe lângă. Am observat doar o lucruri particulare – are frică de bărbații cu baston de mers... hmmm.... Adolfo își iubește lucrul cu omul, își iubește învățarea și pune inteligența și potențialul fizic la lucru. Din fericire pentru el, are spate drept și nu suferă de șolduri deformate, cum fac mulți German Shephards. Părea să fie un băiat sănătos și capabil, și este cu adevărat pregătit pentru casa lui definitivă! Înălțimea lui la șold este de aproximativ 65 cm.

Adolfo was found together with her female German Shephard friend Astoria on the Boulevard of Marbella, both of them wearing collars, both uncastrated. It is believed that they belonged to a gypsy camp, or other types of travelling groups of people. It took us a while to learn more about Adolfo before he could well be presented, when they first arrived, Adolfo was quite reactive to other dogs on the street, and also bossying Astoria around, so they were separated for a while, because together they were anxious and not able to enjoy time in the dogpark, to run, roll in the grass, communicate with humans. By now Adolfo is a totally different dog, and even though every dog, especially German Shephard is very stressed and unhappy in the shelter, then he is well able to concentrate on the human, enjoy a walk around the shelter, run and sniff in the grass of the dogparks, but also to go for days out with volunteers - to the beach, to the nature. He is really sweet and social with the volunteers, and adapts well to different situations and humans, he really enjoys working and engaging with people. He also is very comfortable about being touched. Adolfo, like most German Shephards, is very intelligent, he is easy and pleasant to work with. He also loves snacks, so that makes it even easier to starting training obedience, agility, nosework with him. Adolfo & Astoria are now living together again, they are not hyping each other up anymore, and really enjoy running in the dogpark together. They are available for adoption together, but also separately. When a German Shephard lover is looking for a duo that will spend a lot of time outside, in the yard, on the farm etc, then adopting them together would be wonderful. When you are looking for a Shephard that will focus on you, a dog for joining on hikes, search training, obedience sessions, then we would recommend to adopt them individually, as each on their own is much better able to concentrate on the human, and the energy levels also lower. Adolfo would be very happy to be a single dog of a home, or to be adopted together with Astoria, or join a home with a social confident female already waiting. He however does not like other males with a dominant presence, and he would at the moment prefer not to live in areas crowded with other dogs, until good canine socialisation training is provided for him. Adolfo travels well in the car and walks well on the leash during his day out of the shelter, walking relaxed and confidently. Away from the shelter, he was mostly neutral about medium/bigger size dogs, but he did not enjoy little yappy dogs. Adolfo does not mind bicycles, cars, scooters and is respectful about humans passing by. We just noticed one particular thing - he is afraid of men with walking sticks... hmmm.... Adolfo loves to work with his human, he loves to learn and put his intelligence and physical potential to work. Fortunately for him, he has quite a straight back and does not suffer from lowered deformed hips, like many German Shephards do. He seems to be a healthy, capable boy, and he is really now ready for his forever home! His shoulder height is approximately 65cm.
